Re: Akira Toriyama Passes Away.
It doesn't feel real. I can't believe this. I didn't know him personally, but him and his work meant so much to me. As someone went through a lot of abuse and trauma that fucked me up and left me hopeless....Dragon Ball gave me some of that hope back. Made me wanna live again. I hope Toriyama knew h...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
I'm not sure if this is an unpopular opinion on this board (I know it for SURE is in the American fanbase as a whole, with most of them not having even heard the song), but if we're going to talk about the best songs to ever come out of this franchise, I honestly think Hikari No Tabi is genuinely in...

Re: Toei should promoto Piccolo more as a LGBTQQIP2SAA character
More assumptions and insults without knowing the person instead of taking the step towards a civil discussion and discovering why other people view things in a different way (which is what I was promoting without taking 'sides'). Sides? What sides are there to be taken here? He LITERALLY said- Whit...

Re: Most well developed characters in the franchise?
With a cast as wide as Dragon Ball I really don’t think every character needs to develop. Agreed. Not EVERYONE in the cast has to be present and constantly developed. But, on that same note, there are times when even the characters present in the main cast are kind of stale or just present, if that...

Most well developed characters in the franchise?
In terms of character development, Dragon Ball is a franchise that has had it's ups and downs in terms of handling the characters in it's story. Which characters would you say have had the most developed progression? And which ones would you say lack a bit and would like to see developed more?

Re: What specifically was wrong with Vic Mignogna’s take on Broly?
His Broly in most media he's done is good. It's not a performance I think is super exceptional or anything of the sort, but it gets the job done. But over time, more aggressive acting with Broly has grown a bit weak. Especially the screams, as someone has pointed out. He's good in the calm scenes an...

Re: Toei should promoto Piccolo more as a LGBTQQIP2SAA character
Honestly? Go for it. It's been pretty much understood with a lot of folks that Piccolo is asexual. The series points to him as such. If they were to craft a storyline which addresses it or even puts a spotlight on it, I'm totally down. He's always been a character that I love and that's a part of hi...

Re: All in all, are you happy the revival happened?
I don't want to give anything away for those that do want to see Terminator: Dark Fate, but DF doesn't invalidate the conclusion of T2's plot, but it does undercut it thematically. Big time. As much as the film attempts to connect to T2 with homages to it and the addition of Linda Hamilton (who mad...

Re: All in all, are you happy the revival happened?
Overall, yeah, totally. In terms of the content we've gotten since, it's a mixed bag for me. I like parts of it. I enjoy BOG and Broly is a cool watch. Some of the Super scenes are pretty cool too. And overall, it's been great to see the community super active, especially during Super's run. But the...

Re: Did the franchise ever POSITIVELY affect you?
Very much so. I have many good memories stemming from watching, discussing, and/or playing video games about the series. Dragon Ball was, for a bit, everything I'd focus on in my middle school and early high school years. As a person who struggles with depression and anxiety greatly, the characters ...

I'm glad you're here to share your impartial viewpoint rooted firmly in logic and critical thinking. Nice avatar. I would appreciate it if you wouldn't make a subtle and sarcastic jab at me. I've done absolutely nothing to warrant it and I don't appreciate it. You don't know me and you haven't even...

I will go out on a limb here and say, I personally don't buy into Robson and Safechuck's claims and I find them extremely fictitious.

Cell in his first form. It remains one of the few, if not the only time that a Dragon Ball character legitimately gave me the chills.

Re: Could Super Saiyan 3 be mastered?
I believe it could be: ultimately the main problem with it is what was solved with SS1, which is the energy draw to maintain the form itself. It would obviously be a much more (pardon my language) Herculean task however because the energy draw of SS1 was low enough to the point that it was never me...

Could Super Saiyan 3 be mastered?
I know some consider the form to be obsolete and pointless due to Super's addition of God ki and the forms proceeding it, but this is just a what if that I find interesting, so I'm mainly asking from the perspective of the original 42 volumes of the manga. Could the same treatment Goku and Gohan app...

Re: Is there a "side-story" you wish would happen?
A future timeline story involving Gohan's maturing into a teenager and a young adult has always been a wish of mine. I would love to see what led to his transformation into the Super Saiyan form and how the macabre atmosphere surrounding him affected his development as a human being. It would also b...

When the in house actors down at FUNimation started voicing the characters, Dale Kelly as Captain Ginyu was probably the first real standout performance amongst the cast.

Whether some found it funny or not is irrelevant. One doesn't have to be oversensitive to see that it was a rude thing to say.Vegeta_Sama wrote: Yeah, but he said it in the funny way

It's not like it was even directed at you personally. If anyone has the right to complain (it would still be oversensitive bitching to do so, but whatevs), that's ZenkaiBoosts, since the post directed at him It doesn't have to be directed towards me, it just wasn't cool. Again, there were a million...
