Re: Why a next generation series should be a PRIORITY
Absolutely. In fact, I'm sick of the same tired arguments of, "I don't care about these characters" since as you said, nobody cared about Gohan at first either. Then there's people acting like we just want to take Goku away, which is ridiculous since mentor Goku could be a really cool way...

Re: Why a next generation series should be a PRIORITY
Goku being dead, comatose, or otherwise out the action for most of Z says otherwise.mute_proxy wrote:Say what you will, but there is no DB without Goku. He'll never be a sidecharacter.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Goodbye, sweet prince. Those who hated Super finally got their wish, the rest of us shall hang our heads in shame. I hate Super, but I don't want it to end, or at least I don't want Dragon Ball to end. Not now. Now feels like about the worst possible time to end it. It just feels so abrupt. There's...

Re: What changes would you want for a new Dragon Ball show?
Go past end of Z, stop being the Goku and Vegeta show, Treat the humans (especially Yamcha) with more respect, make MUCH less of a power gap between the characters, create more villains and ease up on tournaments for a while.

Re: Post-hiatus-news: What series do you want next?
I just wanna get past end of Z already. NO meaningful growth has happened in this shitty "after Buu but before EoZ" and it's getting annoying. Just skip ahead, turn Pan and Uub into major characters, age all the kids up, etcetera. Just make some real and genuine characters and actually hav...

Re: As someone not watching Super... Super looks...
That's the problem. Expectations and ideas about something. Just enjoy it for what it is. Sure, there's parts that are less good but there's tons of good stuff! I'd still say the show is the problem because I keep my expectations low nowadays and am still disappointed almost every arc. Most notably...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
It would be cool if at the end of the tournament the gang goes back to Earth to find it completely in ruins. That would be a good way to introduce a new villain. Or better yet, Trunks, Goten, Yamcha and Buu (if he awakes) are the only ones to defend the Earth. I swear if Yamcha got to beat a villai...

Re: Does my boy Gohan have to beat Toppo in order to be "redeemed" and live up to the hype of this arc?
See, thing is is they buff up Vegeta to fight alongside Goku, and now Gohan's big fight will probably be against Dyspo, who has done nothing but get dunked up an ran away this whole tournament. Dyspo doesn't feel like much of a threat at all. What would be more cool for Gohan is if all three saiyans...

Re: Goku Time. They learned nothing from GT.
Gohan hasn't been great so far. I dunno about "screwed", but they basically make him just a dunce brawler who just punches thing until he wins. (Botamo fight) and mostly fought unimportant fodder characters. Not much he does feels that important.

Re: Goku Time. They learned nothing from GT.
Thing is, DBS keeps teasing character relevancy to characters other than Goku and Vegeta, but never delivers, and sometimes even completely screws over a character that was hyped. DBGT never teased shit. Sure, it was Goku Time, but it knew it and never tried building up false hype. Super does things...

Re: Goku Time. They learned nothing from GT.
It's most notable in moments where Goku butts in where he doesn't belong too. There was that time Hit was fighting Dyspo, but then Goku basically stole the focus by joining in on the fight and bringing back red god. Most infamously, there's him stealing the Freeza kill from Vegeta. Even in the Copy-...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
I like all of them as well (yeah Vegeta is my favorite but we all have favorites). Having favorites is fine but some of the fans even on here take it like a slap in the face that they prefer another character over their fave and/or just want them to get a good showing. If you view screen-time like ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Rather than a specific fan of one character, I'm a fan of good character writing, which Super will never have if Goku keeps doing everything.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
Most Gohan fans(not all but stil) are really greedy, the kind you give an apple to and then they want all the apples you have, same here its not enough that Gohan does something, they will not be satisfied unless he takes it all. This kind of greediness is what blinds them as well,in dbz outside of de...

Re: How Super makes OLD techniques NEW again
Not Super, but "Yo Son-Goku and his Friends Return" brought back Yamcha's super soukidan. I love that move. He technically did a similar thing to make a baseball move mid-throw in his filler episode in Super too, which was pretty neat. About the Makankosappo though, it kinda annoys me how ...

Cus for sure since she's the only one who actually cared. Mojito's was interesting enough, and the others barely reacted at all. In general, the angel reactions aren't highlighted all that much.

jiren has a personality. you just fail to see it because you think personality has anything to do with talking because jiren isnt talking much. jiren personality is rather uniqe. the problem is with you Allow me to re-phrase. Jiren has all of two personality traits. His arrogant and belittling. Tha...
