Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 100
"Only" 8 weeks for Tate though, hopefully he doesn't have to carry his half of 110. I'm honestly surprised Yamamuro isn't doing any supervision, but he'll probably still animate. Since we're entering the "climax" of the tournamant I'm guessing most of the episodes beyond 110 wil...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 87
And lastly, help me figure out whether this is Tsuji or Yamamuro:
https://pbs.twimg.com/media/C-vijPWXsAcTM91.jpg:large
On one hand, the nose on the bottom profile shot screams Tsuji to me, alongside the fact that almost every 'new' design in #66 appears to be Tsuji's work. On ...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 87
This episode was kinda ugly, but there were a couple of cool Tsuji Piccolo corrections and an ok (Higashide?) fight.

Re: I give up, I'm just going to watch this for fun
This doesn't make sense. Isn't watching shows for fun supposed to be the main purpose of the show in the first place?

Re: On Bergamo vs. Goku, Universal Destruction, Hopes for Super, and So On
I'm not sure if you watched it with subtitles or not, but Goku wasn't allowed to hold back. Doing so would cause them to destroy all the universes at once. He gave it his all like he said he would. Zeno and the Grand Priest know about Gokus SSB mixed with Kaioken form. Anything less, they would've ...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 79
This episode had really good animation imo. I wouldn't really call it conservative just because a there were looped frames when fighting. There were still a lot of cuts an drawings, even when they did loop the fighting. If every fight in the tournament were on this level I'd be impressed tbh. But I ...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 78
Are we talking about actual animation quality anymore or just the content? This fight would've just normally been okay but I think Tate's effects elevate it to a higher tier than a lot of DB and DBZ fights.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 78
I personally wouldn't mind if Yamamuro animated in Gohan's return. It's not like the next Gohan fight will be a super big moment where he'd be hogging other people's potential spotlight. We are only 3 episodes into the arc. And in all honesty he's still an okay animator, but I think that the memes a...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 78
Gohan looks pretty weird. He looks like Vegeta in those pictures. Z already had some symptoms of sameface but now this is pretty obvious. I wish his hair was a little more wild on the top like in the Boo arc, instead of going straight up like now. That would make him a lot more distinct...
...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
Its a new show that doesn't really need to try and look like it's predecessors too much. The Boo arc ended like 20 years ago, so I don't know why we need to use the same style but downgraded. I'm not suggesting that it needs to look exactly like it did all those years ago, just that it should be re...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
A lot of people neglect the fact Toriyama's current style would not work nearly as well for combat as his old drawings. However, Yamamuro's aren't animation-friendly either. I don't really get what this means. Do you mean that they don't look as menacing or something? Honestly, his old drawing seem...

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 74
Am I the only one that doesn't like Toriyamas current artstyle, and actually prefer yamamuros character designs more? Atleast its closer to the dbz artstyle of the mid 90s A lot of people neglect the fact Toriyama's current style would not work nearly as well for combat as his old drawings. However...

They don't really show up much because they are basically irrelevant in DBZ.

Re: Super Animation Catalogue 2.0 - Episode 72
The less lines the more time there is for a key animator to focus on refining the movement of the drawings. Few understand this like Tate Naoki, whose simplistic drawings allow for effort to be placed elsewhere while under conditions none-too-friendly to the animation staff. To call a lack of lines...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Announcement and Discussion Thread
I gotta say, I'm not feeling the dub. Gotens voice isn't too pleasing imo, and neither is Chi Chi's. At least they are only minor characters though, because if they were in every episode I'd be a lot less pleased lol.

Re: What Was Your Most & Least Favorite Moment of Dragon Ball Super This Year?
Favorite: Episode 57. This I think is probably one of the best episodes in Super, and just had me so excited the entire time. So much was happening and I loved it. Least favorite: Epispde 24. Sigh, I almost gave up on Super here. I'm glad I didn't though because at least the quality was able to ramp...
