Re: Super Saiyan 2 and 3 are variations of Super Saiyan. What does that mean?
I can understand why SS3 is considered a different form, since there are clear visual changes (longer hair and no eyebrows) and it seems to tap into the primal nature of the Saiyans, long before SS4 was even created. But SS2? I have never seen it as different from SS1. Originally it was just Gohan u...

The voice acting alone makes the Anime better than the Manga.

Re: The Zero Mortal Plan is sort of dumb.
I feel like the fact that the story is set into an alternate timeline makes the "plot-holes" much more tolerable and very easy to hand-wave away with simple headcanon. Where was Toppo? It's 20 or so years into the future, so he already became the new Destroyer and died with the Kai. Where ...

Re: Do you think Dragon Ball Super exaggerated the post-production effects?
I disagree. The only form that I found truly ugly was SSB Evolved. Just the blue stacked on top of more blue with nothing else to compound it was ugly. Every other form, either it isn't as exaggerated, or there's something more going on to make it more pleasing to look at. (Like, for instance, Rosé ...

Re: The Zero Mortal Plan is sort of dumb.
The Grand Priest apparently no longer existed. Did you see him anywhere in the Future timeline? Why don't more people assume that deactivating all the 12 Angels (which Zamasu successfully did) automatically deactivates their father too? Either way, the Grand Priest was clearly no longer a threat to ...

"But I don't care about entire universes being doomed to non-existence, because fighting makes me excited!" When did he say that? In fact, he said the exact opposite to Android 17. Telling him that he has to fight because he can't bear watching innocents get erased. "Oh... The things...

Re: Favourite screams from various dubs
I must say that I am surprised that no one has yet mentioned anything from the Future Trunks saga. There are so many bone-chilling screams. Re: How strong is Base Vegetto (Manga)?
Strong enough to destroy half of Fused Zamasu after eating a Senzu bean to get full power, which actually doesn't mean anything, since an Exhausted Super Vegeta was also able to destroy half of Perfect Cell despite not standing a chance against him. Surprise attacks against an off-guard opponent ar...

Re: ME TOONS CONFIRMED! (SPEED RACER IN THE LINE UP)
I don't see anything wrong in pointing out that a significant portion of the Dragon Ball fanbase is made up of nostalgic Millennials. The evidence is before our eyes. Super Broly, the highest-grossing Dragon Ball movie, a simple Nostalgia rehash of DBZ Broly. Super Hero, the second highest-grossing ...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
GT was successful at the time even if it suffered from franchise fatigue. It did worse than the previous two series it didn't bomb. Also lololol FujiTv wishes Dragon Ball Super had the ratings that GT did. And Evolution was hated for changing the material people hold near and dear to their childhoo...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
It's weird to see it that way, considering that the DBS manga was born as a promotional product for the anime. I think that theory was put to bed when the manga continued on past the finale of the anime, but yeah, it doesn't really matter and can be "different things for different people"...

Re: goku won the fight against cell, cell surviving is a plot hole and the english dub is to blame.
This is the biggest asspull in the entire franchise, that makes anything from Super look tame in comparison. :) Not to mention how Cell derives his regenerative factor from Piccolo, but Piccolo most certainly can't regenerate from just one brain cell. Yes...Piccolo mentioned in Buu Saga he can rege...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
No one would call the DBS anime "groundbreaking", but at the end of the day it was decent promotion for the manga and the films. Actually, I would, since it was indeed "groundbreaking". If it wasn't, it wouldn't have been live-streamed in front of thousands of people in huge pub...

Re: goku won the fight against cell, cell surviving is a plot hole and the english dub is to blame.
Yes, you are wrong in your thinking. Goku didn't blow Cell up, Cell blew himself up and Cell came back so I'm not sure why it matters? You're gonna hold onto a line that makes no sense in spite of what actually happened on panel/screen? Goku also wasn't fighting Cell anymore. Gohan was and Cell blo...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
Other anime has surpassed Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z That's all subjective you know. For me and many other people, DB franchise stands at the top. Most of these other anime wouldn't exist without it either... Most anime wouldn't exist without Kimba The White Lion, including Dragon Ball itself. T...

Re: The reason Goku stayed dead that no one talks about
It's not a matter of intelligence. Vegeta only agreed to fall under Babidi's spell because Goku was only in the living world for a day. So no, without Goku, the Buu arc doesn't happen. He didn't get possessed due to Goku only being on earth for 1 day. You're missing his point. If Goku hadn't come t...

Re: goku won the fight against cell, cell surviving is a plot hole and the english dub is to blame.
If anything I think the dub actually tried to fill that plot hole. Because in the manga and the Japanese dialogue Cell does very specifically say "As long as the core in my head remains undamaged, I can regenerate from anything." Which makes no sense in light of Goku blowing his entire up...

Re: The reason Goku stayed dead that no one talks about
Well, No, because ultimately Trunks creates an entire parallel universe where Zamasu is stopped from causing any harm. So he still suceeds in creating a peaceful world, so it's a positive ending. Just like at the end of the Cell arc when he returns to the future to stop the androids, thusly restori...
