Re: Is being able to watch original DBZ in a non-cropped format for a reasonable price too much to ask?
FUNimation can but they just don't want to. Season Set Blu-rays and DVDs have sold like hotcakes and continue to so why bother to make a better release? To make a few niche fans happy? Not worth it.clutchins wrote:The right team and the right budget can remaster Dragon Ball Z properly. Funimation has neither.

Re: Toei Establishes Department Focused on Dragon Ball
Oh sorry, I didn't know this was a Communist Dragon Ball Community. You agreed to a certain set of rules (twice) before joining. Spouting baseless, antagonistic nonsense does not live up to these guidelines. If you do not agree with this, you do not have to post here. It's not baseless as some fans...

Re: Toei Establishes Department Focused on Dragon Ball
Agreed. All these blanket "WELL ACTUALLY ALL OF THE FANS ___________" statements are baseless and have no place in a conversation here. There is no hivemind. There is no consensus. Plenty of different fans like different things, as you all are seeing play out literally in this very thread...

Re: DBZ Kai Blu-Ray vs. DBZ Blu-Ray (FUNi)
The Season Set Blu-rays aren't really much of an upgrade unless you really want the FUNimation dub in lossless quality but otherwise, better just to hold on for FUNi's next Z release.FutureTrunks wrote:I have all the DBZ DVD's but I want to get them all in blu ray and then collect Kai on Blu Ray

Re: Toei Establishes Department Focused on Dragon Ball
The movies are bad because they have things like Bio Broly (or Broly in general) and Trunks using the kamehameha. They are not inherently bad because Toriyama isnt involved. However, It isn't a coincidence that ROF and BOG are probably the best movies . Christ, I can't believe I just read this. :sh...

Re: Would it be a better idea to replace Nozawa before she passes away?
No Nozawa means no more Dragon Ball. They'll just give Goku the Chef from South Park treatment. Dragon Ball is too hot of a franchise for TOEI just to archive it. The replacement will happen even though that probably will be really frustrating I just can't imagine anyone filling her shoes but it wi...

Re: Questions for people who grew up with the Westwood dub
They really couldn’t have. There’s labor laws and what not and long hours when dubbing an anime tv series. Unless you mean hire an adult male to voice Gohan which wouldn’t have been better. There are woman who can do boy voices just fine. Colleen just isnt one of them. Well, I suppose that depends ...

Re: Is Akira Toriyama more hated than loved? And by whom?
The only part on the web where I've seen people lose their shit is on this community because even YouTube isn't that bad as you just go on mind your business and can completely ignore it. Here however, everything gets recorded and can be recovered. I never really got into the 'beef' (wouldn't mind b...

Re: The Shuki Levy score
The Ocean dub's replacement music was nothing but constant, earsplitting noise. Awful. There were no melodies or leitmotifs or anything, just cacophony. Faulconer was leagues better than Levy / Wasserman / whoever it was that composed it. That's interesting because aside a few good tunes of FUNimat...

Re: Things that grind your gears
Being animated kind of makes discussions about characters a bit redundant to me as they were already developed whereas, live-action series feel more believable thanks to being represented by actual real-life actors and actresses. It's just a nitpick I have.

Re: Toei Establishes Department Focused on Dragon Ball
I don't care how much investment Toei invests into making Dragon ball good if Toriyama isn't on board for it then I don't really have interest in it. Otherwise I expect a GT 2.0 and I won't waste my time watching something like that This is a good example of fans who only think DB stuff with the To...

She was by far my favorite English Gohan too. Granted she doesn't exactly have much competition compared to Nadolny's smoking 10 packs of cigarettes a day Gohan and Clinkenbeard's I'm just a pwecious wide eye adorbz anime kid  What little I've heard of Jillian Michaels in clips wasn't bad per...

That was definitely him. He even talks about it in interviews, unlike with Dragon Ball Z. It's only after Power Rangers that all his credits start getting questionable, especially during the late 90s/early 2000s period when Saban had DBZ, Digimon and like a million other programs. Generally, if som...

I'm kind of excited for this Android (and iOS) game to be released but I hope it will be playable offline and if possible, functional with a controller (Bluetooth or Wired via OTG) even if it's just one button. This game is looking much better than Xenoverse already in that the pace looks way quicke...

So did Levy actually compose the Inspector Gadget score or was that someone else?
