Re: It’s time for fans to come together and remaster the series properly.

It would be great to include as many dubs and subs as possible so every Dragon Ball fan around the world would finally get his proper release he (or she) has been dreaming for so long I honestly don't trust TOEI or FUNimation to remaster DB, DBZ or DBGT as it should so I'm glad the Dragon Boxes, AB ...

Re: Why were 4:3 AR screenshots used on the Orange Bricks?

Just going to ignore my post altogether, eh? That's fine. No, I read it and it's interesting. So FUNimation made fake/zoomed in 4:3 AR screenshots for a product they were (and still are) selling in 16:9 AR. FUNimation does not help in bringing fans together cause they've split fans to two sides, on...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I was just searching for "Manga UK" Dragon Ball covers and came across something really awesome. These screenshots, cels or whatever they are show just how good Z could be in HD. https://cdn.animeuknews.net/app/uploads/2018/02/DBZ-M5-1.jpg https://cdn.animeuknews.net/app/uploads/2018/02/DB...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

I only like the later "seasons" of OBs but to watch them? Can't say so. The OBs, Season Blu-rays and the 30th are all crappy releases I can't tolerate to watch. Well, had the OBs not been cropped they'd be alright but they're not. FUNimation has become greedy for their own good and think t...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

FUNimation catered twice, two times in the past to deliver a true 4:3 AR experience and it's good to remember those times. Very pleased with the new Portuguese Goku he already sounds miles ahead of the old one, though Feist did a really good job, I admit. Every review about the EU. portuguese Seems you're interchanging European and EU as if it means the same when it doesn't. "EU" is in regards to the European ...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Manga UK Home Release Thread

Is it account specific? SIGNUP10 makes it £20.69 cheaper, yeah, but it's only 10%. Edit: Oh wait, the Collector's Edition is the Standard Blu-ray + Slipcover + Stickers so it costs £13.49 with the code. I was confusing the Steelbook with the Collector's Edition, because the Steelbook is a Collector'...

Selecta Visión originally released DBZ Movies 1-4 on DVD in 4:3 AR!

Just became aware of that. Does anyone have screenshots of how it looks like? The FUNimation UUE Movies 1-3 remastered look fantastic so I guess that's tough to beat but movie 4 wasn't. Selecta Visión in general does a really good job of releasing quality Dragon Ball products for their customers so ...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release

The Dragon Box does appear to be a true "exclusive" experience as it's missing the U.S score and has the NEP previews niche fans in the US wanted. Season 9 Orange Brick: May 19, 2009 Dragon Box One: November 17, 2009 Dragon Box SevenOctober 11, 2011 Level 1.1: November 8, 2011 The Dragon ...

Has anyone initiated the mass cancellation group? I only pre ordered because I was worried they would stop at 3000 and not make the rest available until later. They really fucked up this "hardcore fans" release. And You can tell a non hardcore fan came up with it. They included a big figu...

Sniped an eBay auction so will finally have this statue I regretted selling before:
I don't know its technical name but I just call it "Goku Battle of Z statue" which is accurate enough.

To have next to my Dragon Ball Collection. Small statues aren't really my thing but I suppose neither are huge ones. Although, I'd make an exception for the one and only Son Goku.

Dragon Ball Z: Level 2.2 (Blu-ray) Cover in HD?

Tried finding but only came across SD quality of the cover.

Maybe I'm having a Mandela Effect but Amazon had this cover in high def, didn't they?

Really miss the Level Sets. :(

Re: Dragon Box vs Orange Bricks - Screenshot Comparison

Seasons 7 - 9 of the Orange Bricks look better than both the Dragon Box's and the Season Blu-rays IMO. The OBs certainly have better colors and had it been in 4:3 AR I might've not bought the Dragon Boxes. Also agree that it's better than the Season Blu-rays. I just can't stand the water paint-styl...

I took the screenshots with MPC-HC and though they look off, it shows what was cut off.

K-Lite w/MPC-HC isn't working well these days for me. Maybe I should change back to CCCP.

It's just about the same as the Orange Bricks, actually. It just has less gamma blowout and higher resolution. Hm, it looks more like the Season Blu-rays. The OBs weren't smeared into a water paint style like the Season Blu-rays and the Black Brick. If it weren't for the cropping, the OBs would hav...
