Re: Toonami Rewind Block On Fridays.
I don’t have cable anymore but Toonami Rewind is interesting to see, especially for those who grew up with Cartoon Network's Toonami block between 1997-2008 and Adult Swim's Toonami block since 2012. I get WHY they can't use the old Canadian dub for Sailor Moon but it is kinda weird to use the ViZ d...

Where are the lyrics pages of Dragon Ball Super songs in the Lyrics Database page?
Kanzenshuu already has lyrics pages of various Japanese songs (opening themes, ending themes, insert songs) of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragon Ball GT, and Dragon Ball Kai. But why there are no lyrics pages of Japanese Dragon Ball Super songs on Kanzenshuu's Lyrics Database page? DBS has 2 openin...

Re: Promotional web anime for the Dragon Ball Super Divers arcade game
You'd think so but if so I really hope it won't be in 3D. Maybe because 3D CGI animation doesn't properly work in a Dragon Ball anime/film or fans didn't like 3D animation in a Dragon Ball anime/film? Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero is produced mainly in 3D CGI animation but the animation of the new ...

Promotional web anime for the Dragon Ball Super Divers arcade game
With Dragon Ball Super Divers being recently announced as the successor to the Super Dragon Ball Heroes arcade game, would you think there would be a promotional web anime adaptation of the new Dragon Ball Super Divers arcade game, much like the Super Dragon Ball Heroes promotional web anime series ...

Re: Little known facts about your broadcast
Despite being a legal licensee, Telefuturo and La Tele used fan encodes for some episodes in Paraguay. Now that you mention it there was one case on Cartoon Network UK when the episode Free The Future first aired that they used a really poor copy of it that was clearly just a VHS recording they got...

Re: Did Fuji TV air the original Dragon Ball anime completely uncensored?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but Japan used to allow full nudity to be shown on Japanese broadcast television until the early 2000s. This is why DBZ Kai censored scenes featuring Gohan's penis in the Saiyan arc.

Did Fuji TV air the original Dragon Ball anime completely uncensored?
The original Dragon Ball anime was infamous for having a large amount of inappropriate, sexual, and perverted material like Goku touching peoples' crotches to identify whether they're male or female, Bulma unknowingly showing her naked crotches towards Kamesennin (because Kamesennin asked Bulma to s...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
I'm sure they do, but they're in the minority, I'd go as far as to say the vast minority. I think the fact we've had so many threads about a redub tells us there are certainly fans that want it. The question is are there enough of those fans for companies like Crunchyroll to care, and I think the a...

Re: SPARKING! ZERO - Visual Roster Checker
I immediately noticed that most (but not all) of the artwork of the game's playable characters are reused from the pay-to-win mobile game Dragon Ball Legends (which I used to play). A few pieces of artwork for some characters are reused from Dokkan Battle (which I also used to play) as well. What if...

Rank your favorite voice casts
The Dragon Ball franchise has a lot of voice actors, both Japanese and dubs. I can only rank voice casts that I know the most. Here's how I rank them. Apologies if I missed some. ㊀ Original Japanese voice cast: The definitive Dragon Ball voice cast. The Japanese voice actors, or seiyus (声優), are tal...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
I don't really think it matters. Who is a new dub going to be for? No new fans are going to sit through 444 episodes of an English dub of three thirty-plus year old cartoons. If they're going to sit through that many episodes, they will in all likelihood be interested in the work from a historical ...

Faithful English covers of DBZ openings, endings, and insert songs
As fans may have remembered, FUNimation has dubbed the opening themes and ending themes for their dubs of Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball GT (better than their shitty rap opening; rap/trap music does not fit Dragon Ball at all), respectively. However, they don't want to dub the opening themes and ending...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
It wouldn't be necessary, because, as stated unlike the Sailor Moon example Dragon Ball Z has a complete, uncut English dub. Even with its flaws it satisfies what the vast majority of fans want in an English dub, that much is clear because its so adamantly defended to this day. I don't like bumping...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
All of you are right about this. A DBZ English redub will never happen at all, even if fans hated FUNi's 1999-2003 DBZ dub. It is like turning a blind eye to dub fans when making a DBZ English dub that panders to purists of the original Japanese version of DBZ. I'll never consider a DBZ English redu...

Re: Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
I think the thing people need to realize is a redub is never going to happen. Ever. Even if Crunchyroll lost the license to Viz or Toei's USA branch or Disckotek the company would just use the already existing and popular Funimation dub. Sailor Moon got a redub out of necessity. The old dub skipped...

Would a complete DBZ English redub be necessary?
Let's say Toei took away the US rights of Dragon Ball Z from Funimation and decided to give the US DBZ license to a superior anime dubbing company like Viz Media. If this ever happened, I, along with purist DBZ fans, want a complete DBZ English redub that is: - Based on the original Japanese version...
