Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
No one would call the DBS anime "groundbreaking", but at the end of the day it was decent promotion for the manga and the films. It's weird to see it that way, considering that the DBS manga was born as a promotional product for the anime. I think that theory was put to bed when the manga...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
I hope there won't be any kind of transformation: I want an adventure and story that can be solved out of the most repetitive and boring structure of the franchise.

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
Modern shows like X-Men 97' has fights with blood. I don't see why Daima couldn't take a different approach from Super, having more fights depicting blood. Because it will air at 9 AM sundays on a Japanese TV channel that has stricter rules about what can be shown on TV these days than it had 30 ye...

Re: Petition to mark March 8th as "International Dragon Ball Day"
It saddens me to see that 80% of the people who support the March 8 date, take the opportunity to say something against Women's Day, which makes me think that it's not a sincere petition for the love of Dragon Ball, they're looking to fight another thing... Without wanting to get into that discussio...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
The entire current SH arc is by Toriyama especially it was evident with the movie promotion. He even drew Goten and Trunks in their super hero costumes for the prequel and he also designed Goten and Trunks' favorite super hero that is Clean God. In the Granolah story - he came up with the idea of c...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
Literally Toyotaro in a recent interview from January says that Toriyama is heavily involved in the manga while revealing the process of its creation. That's what they will always say to try to retain a portion of the public. But only the arcs that advertise with Toriyama's name in giant were writt...

Re: Dragon Ball Super: Manga Chapter 102 - Official Discussion Thread
Toriyama is focused on Sandland and Daima, he has no idea that the manga is still running. Everything you can enjoy in these pages is pure genius from Toyo and Uchida. I doubt this heavily, Toriyama is not involved in the DBS manga right now. Literally Toyotaro in a recent interview from January sa...

Re: Dragon Ball Daima (2024)
Why is Fat Buu shown as a kid if he does not age? Are you seriously going to question that a spell can rejuvenate a magical being? We don't know exactly how the "curse" works: we have bald Roshi, Yamcha with scars, Goku and Vegeta without tails, etc. Maybe it makes some in universe sense ...

Re: Once the current arc is over, would you like the manga to cover Daima?
For the sake of completeness, or is that a moot point by now considering two movies have already been skipped? For those that say yes, if Daima takes place chronologically in a different time period (before the events of Superhero/the current arc), would you still want it to be adapted, or is the i...

Re: Has Toriyama Ever Given An Interview About Ultra Instinct?
I mean, Toriyama did forget Dragon Ball Super's name while coming up with Super Hero. I don't really believe those Toriyama's statements, I'm sure it's part of his humor to say that he forgets things, he makes fun of people and then they keep repeating it for years. He surely wanted to create anoth...

Re: Has Toriyama Ever Given An Interview About Ultra Instinct?
True, I don't think Toriyama has ever spoken extensively about it, but fans somehow started interpreting that as a confession that he actually had nothing to do with Ultra Instinct's creation and design and that it's not even canon to "the Toriyamaverse". Some even say he's barely aware o...

Re: When do you think the Super anime is returning? Should I read the manga while waiting for the anime?
"They can make money with Moro character!" A: BANDAI make money with games. They pay a right fee to Toei. A simple 20$ dollars DLC for XV2 cannot pay for the whole animation of 100+ episodes required.. B: if even so, TOEI make way more incomes by a movie (8M to produce Broly > 150M net in...

Re: Dragon Ball's Argentinian broadcast history
I can't believe I never saw this post before!! I love it! Thank you for making this compilation . What I can contribute to clarify the ATC issue, is that they did broadcast parts of Z movies (a friend showed it to me on a VHS that he recorded from TV) with the Spanish dubbing from Spain (it was the...

Re: Dragon Ball's Argentinian broadcast history
Hey, this is a great topic  . Interesting you say stories from fans who claim to have seen the series on ATC are contradictory . I can relate as no one knows for sure how often the short-lived CNX channel here switched between the Funimation and Westwood dubs. I know Dragon Ball is massive...
