I don't get it, what's so offensive about Mr. Popo's lips? But with all due respect, it seems kind of weird that Mr. Popo has the appearance he does...does any Toriyama-head have any detailing on why he might have chosen that particular look? No deep answer, it's for the sake of comedy. For obvious...

So what are the big-name DBZ sites these days?

I just got curious thinking about it earlier when I took a look at some of my older web projects. I really haven't participated or followed the online DBZ community since around when Planet Namek went down. Daizenshuu EX here is pretty much the only regularly updated DBZ site I ever go to. But anywa...

I believe Dragon Ball Z was the very first manga to be scanned and translated on the web so I'd cut 'em slack. At the time these rare DBZ manga scans were done more for the novelty than anything else. Unflopped manga was basically unheard of, too. Today scanslations fill their task of giving me my B...

I don't think anymore Dr. Slump was going to be translated anytime soon so don't worry too much about it.

Someone told me a very long time ago when the new Dr. Slump first started airing that Son Goku showed up for a brief moment and that he was fighting Majin Buu. That's about all I know.

I watched this little special on my friend's DVD a while ago... it's pretty crappy overall but it's worth watching at least once for the amusing novelty value.

Now a rip of the track that contains all the DB and DBZ TV commercials would be pretty neat too.

Comedy Beet the Vandal Buster option. (I actually like this one though) Bleach seems to really have some potential. http://www.animenation.net/news/askjohn.php?id=944 is a good analysis on why Naruto seems to be more popular than One Piece here in America. And while I don't really enjoy admiting to ...

Calling DBZ a children's show always seemed to be a little to based in shocking people to use in a facts section. Something you say just to counter those who call it an adult show just to piss them off. Hearing "children's show" personally reminds me of shows such as Pokemon, Digimon, Fair...

What's refered to as the DBZ OVA had no interactivity at all and was just something you bought on tape (or now DVD) and just watched for the story and action of it all. The entire thing plays out just like any other DBZ movie with the exception of a few tiny quirks. If a non-videogame version of Dra...

I wouldn't even say it's misinformation. It's a term that's commonly used to label both direct-to-video releases AS WELL AS oddball releases that no one really knows how to easily define. People have been doing this for a very long time. The way that people generally use a word or term is what mainl...

No one will know what that is. You're lucky if someone under 20 even knows what Dragon's Lair is (Space Ace even more).

You know what this "OVA" really is? A cartoon with a character named Goku in it. This entire "Is there an OVA?" and the "Oh no it's not...!" is getting ridiculous. No one gives a crap where the entire thing technically came from. It's called an OVA because it's an easy ...

So you're saying every DVD made in China is a bootleg? Riiiiightt.... To be honest, though, you can be all smarty pants for all your like, but it ain't bootleg. Even if it were, I could care less. The cover art is supposed to represent the awesomeness that's packed inside :) Some people just appreciate a well put together package. Nice covers are part of what seperates getting a legit DVD and finding a bootleg copy somewhere. It's not the major issue that determines whether or not I buy a DVD...

http://home.comcast.net/~ramzareviewer/bootlegdvd.jpg It's a bootleg. Any anime DVD you find off ebay or wherever that has both Chinese and English subtitles is always going to be a bootleg. These sets would never sell for such a price otherwise. There's an entire scene of people making and selling...
