Games That Keep You Coming Back?

What's the game or games that you always like to pick up and play randomly? What's in your usual rotation as a gamer. I've got two young kids so I don't have much space or time to set up my older consoles and play, but I'm really into handheld gaming so I always find myself going back to Supersonic ...

Re: Who are the 10 most popular characters in the franchise?

Interesting to see the impact of the newer characters on these lists. I'd like to see some comparisons with polls from 25 years ago or so.

Re: Dragon Ball Rewatch, Week 53 - DBZ Movie 4 (CURRENT WEEK)

I'm not saying the movie is good, but I think a little bit of it's general reaction is a long time bad reputation. Twenty years ago every fan site beat us all over the head with the idea that this was hands down the worst Dragon Ball movie and I think it just automatically has been to a lot of peopl...

Re: Dragon Ball Episode of Bardock - Ten Years.

Wow, crazy to think how different the landscape of the franchise was 10 years ago. I always kind of got a kick out of this special. It gave me some of the same good feelings as the mid-series movies. The promotional anime from the last couple of years gives me the same vibe now.

Re: Dragon Ball Z Trading Card Game Returns to America?

Very excited about this. Score's original game, despite some big flaws early on, is definitely my favorite CCG ever. Anyone else is Kentucky going to be picking these up?

Re: Do you feel you've hit a burnout of collecting DB stuff?

It comes and goes in waves like anything else. I just recently had the urge to go back and try to complete the Super Battle Collection. If I focus on collecting Dragon Ball stuff too long I'll get burnt out for a lot longer, so I usually stop myself. I actually collect a lot of other action figures ...

Re: How popular are Dragon Ball toys in the west?

Last time I can remember them being at any big box retailers was around five years ago when Wal-Mart, K-Mart, etc were carrying the Ban Dai of America 3 3/4 line and Dragon Ball Evolution toys. It's been bone dry since then. You might be able to find some of the Figuarts at specialty stores or hobby...

Re: Dr. Gero as the leader of the Red Ribbon Army

It certainly makes sense. It's clear Commander Red is leading through manipulating individuals with much more skill and power than himself. He just doesn't seem capable of such crafty leadership. So I suppose he was manipulated into believing he was manipulating everyone, just a puppet dictator. An...

Re: Have you ever lost interest in the franchise?

Same as most everybody else I suppose. I never get rid of any of my memorabilia, because I know I'll eventually come back around again. I guess I get most excited about the brand when I meet a younger person who's just recently gotten into it. I've met kids watching Kai and GT on Nicktoons who genui...

I've never been much for statues myself, though it is a fairly good deal at half off. I'd recommend the Figuarts release from Ban Dai over that any day.

You can occasionally find them used in places like Sam Goody or F.Y.E. There was a copy of the Namek boxed set (dub only) and the Garlic Jr. set at my local Sam Goody up until it closed about a month ago.

I'm a big fan of the voice work in those episodes, and I have tremendous affinity for the actors, being a gigantic Beast Wars fan. Here's my Pioneer volume eleven insert signed by Pauline Newstone, Ocean's Freeza. http://c1.ac-images.myspacecdn.com/images02/57/l_146f0e57211d4da6b7a664314514a1e4.jpg ...

I dig it, especially the second half. Like many others it took me a long while to be able to enjoy it though. Back when I first got into DB, I would read about it, and I expected it to be something it just wasn't. It's still fun on the same level as many of the movies. I like some of the character d...

I paid $70 for a used copy of the Pioneer "Saiyan Conflict" collection at Sam Goody. If memory serves correctly, that was in 2003. I stayed up that entire night to watch it in one sitting, a very fond memory. Is that the one where the first tape contained the first four episodes of the se...

So while he's at Chi-Chi's party, Gohan is at home getting stomped by Piccolo, Mai, and his demons. I'm sure there gonna be a shit storm because he blew off his Grandpa to go kick it but at the same time it makes sense. If he was with Gohan then Chatku would have been killed too. "With great p...

Planet Namek

Back when the only web access I had at home was my old WebTV, I would visit two or three times a day. It was the first place I ever got to see a "Things Dragonball Z characters would never say." section. Classic.
