"Funny, I just realized that someone has conveniently removed the moon. Well it doesn't matter, we have our ways.. As a matter of fact, it was your genius father who invented this little technique. We ran into some radical weaponry on Rygal-7 and things were looking grim until your father did t...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
What is the point of an Ocean dub of Kai at this point? Sure, it seemed like a possibility when the UK didn't have Kai, but we now have Funimation's version of Kai on the channel 'Kix'. Isn't it just a waste of time when one takes that into consideration? Unless they would try to get the Ocean versi...

Re: DBZ & DB Fansub VHS & Memorabilia
I would buy old fansubs in an instant if the price isn't too ridiculous! It's one piece of Dragonball history I'm fascinated by. Those early fansubs were a pretty underground thing.

Re: Old DBZ Fansubbers
These will always fascinate me.
The grain and bad quality from multiple video tape copies. The 'mature' subtitles. And a show which was censored on TV overseas, but here it was in uncut form in its original language.
The first fansub I saw was Vegetto vs. Buu. Anime Labs of course. Good times..

Re: DBZKai comes to the UK
It's really great we finally got Dragonball Z Kai. Not only that, but it's doing well in the ratings! I was shocked when my girlfriend and I happened to be scrolling through the kids channels (let's face it, UK TV is pretty bad, so we resort to watching kids TV at times) and seeing Dragonball Z Kai...

Re: New Sailor Moon anime and Kai
Toei aren't making a Dragonball remake because it's their cash cow. They're waiting for the exact right moment. Don't get me wrong, I know the popularity of Saint Seiya and Sailor Moon, but I think Toei are holding it back until they either NEED to do it or they feel they should. What it all boils d...

Re: To Buy or Not to Buy Dragon Boxes 6 and 7?
There's probably someone out there who would value them more than you. If you don't really want them, and they're becoming rarer and rarer, I'd say leave it. It's best not to be greedy.

Re: The History of Dragonball Fansubs
It's weird how fascinating of a subject the fansubs of Dragonball are.
Looking back at the terrible quality of the subs and video, it was almost entertainment in itself. I miss those days. Gets me all nostalgic..

Re: My hatred of Dragonball Kai
I'm pretty sure the general consensus is that the voice replacements for Freeza and Gohan in the Funimation dub are great (Freeza's in particular). At least Gohan doesn't sound like he smokes tobacco on a regular basis now.

Re: Episode #0259 (22 May 2011)
Anime Labs made my 9 year old self feel so mature with all the cuss words they'd put in their subtitles! I always get all nostalgic for the old grainy, fuzzy Dragon Ball Z VHS footage.
I love this subject. Keep up the good work guys.

Didn't 4kids come to an agreement with Toei to animate more Ultimate Muscle episodes despite the fact it was cancelled in Japan? Perhaps something similar will happen in this case.
That would be pretty cool

I must be pretty out of touch, because I actually think a lot of the songs fit.. They're just getting repetitive. Like you guys have said, he needs more variation on the tracks he chooses.

I don't know why, but I find it more interesting reading what someone thought about a series like GT episode by episode than Dragonball and Dragonball Z.
Yeah, nice reviews.
