Yeah, for me personally that "DBZ feel" comes during the 23rd Budokai. The battles start to incorporate flying and ki blast on a regular basis.

I recently completed watching the whole set, and I'll have to say I extremely pleased just like with season 1. The dialog is noticeably re-worked for the better. For me personally, I love dragonball to death. The start of the 22nd Budokai, Daimao saga, and 23nd Budokai are some of my favorites out of the whole db/z/gt series. Though overall to me the saiyan saga up to the freeza saga was the absolute pinnacle for me.

No it won't. Dragonballz had an appeal that spanned to many people. It was appealing to almost every "clique" in the K-12 demographic. Plus America at that time had never seen an animated show that was based around fighting in that way (ie: the powerlevels and ki blasts). Not to mention so...
