Re: Episode #0484 (30 August 2020)
To Mike and Julian's question as to whether Sirius Lee was actually used in any dub/localization, it wasn't. There were simply some fans back then (such as myself) discussing the possibility that they could use something like that to get the pun across in English.

Re: Official "Super DB Heroes 2018 Promotional Anime" Discussion Thread
Most likely, it's been delayed due to Covid. They didn't even give a general timeframe like they usually do, since they knew the production schedule would be affected. Given that, it could be a while. Or, they could suddenly spring it on us without warning!

Re: Official "Super DB Heroes 2018 Promotional Anime" Discussion Thread
Next episode release date? Currently, the official site still has only an ambiguous "late May" date. Which...well, we're in the second half of May now, so seems like we should have an exact date, but if they've announced it I can't find it. Some are speculating episode production could ha...

Re: Was Vegeta virgin before Bulma?
Ultimately, real life societies have nothing to do with this fictional race from a comic made for kids. Even if Toriyama took some influence from existing cultures, it absolutely does not mean we should assume that he meant that they were exactly like those real life examples in every way unless it ...

QUESTION: What are Shu and Mai saying in this clip? It's from DB episode 6, four minutes and 25 seconds in. https://drive.google.com/file/d/1K-td69dfquKogsdzIR8RI30ZBE5M3nnq/view?usp=sharing Since it's only the audio, I'll explain what's happening in the scene. Shu and Mai are sneaking toward Oolon...

Re: Would you say Dragonball Evolution is better or worse than The Last Airbender?
I can fully admit to my opinion being biased when I say that I hate Evolution far more than the Airbender movie. Because while I did watch and enjoy the ATLA series, Dragon Ball is the most important franchise of my fandom, so seeing it being adapted so terribly feels much more insulting, regardless...

Re: How did you come to know about dragonball?
My exposure started a bit earlier than my actual fandom. The first time I can recall hearing about it was in the summer of 1996. By then, I was already into Sailor Moon and was aware of what anime/manga were. One friend had a copy of Dragon Ball manga vol. 1 in Japanese, and she had printed out some...

So good of you to telluce and lettuce know all about the Tullece Corps. *Ahem* Kaio-approved puns aside, it never fails to blow my mind just how much Kanzenshuu is up my ally. I'm into comics, languages, making sure information is as correct/accurate as possible, etc... I even have a degree in tran...

Oh, Stacey does a live-action anime podcast? Cool! I was an animator for Alita: Battle Angel at Weta Digital, that was a lot of fun to work on! Yeah, if you're interested, here's a link with the episodes we've done so far: https://anibroscreative.com/category/reel-japan/ (audio quality and editing ...

Re: Recording vs Buying In the 90's/2000's
I recorded as many as possible so I could rewatch them as much as I pleased (if I happened to be watching while recording, I'd stop and start it to cut out commercials so I could fit more on each tape). Then once the DVDs started coming out, I started purchasing those since I wanted to watch it in J...

If anyone is interested in reading the full transcript from the courtroom, it's now available . They watermarked it with the "Threadnought" label so when ISWV streamers inevitably talk about it, they can't hide the source of where they got it from if they show screenshots. Haven't ha...

Reading the live tweet thread brings the greatest sense of schadenfreude. The judge is not having this nonsense at all. Where's that slam dunk case that even the worst law firm could win now? And wouldn't you know, there are still people in the comments trying to spin this, saying it's "s...

The person who said that Nadolny was hacked posted a screenshot of the DMs they exchanged. Of course, the stans are going all out trying to prove the DMs came from a copy account that wasn't actually her, so...believe what you will. As for the latest news about new counsel being brought on right bef...

Re: So how does one *correctly* hug their fans?
While assisting Kara Edwards at a signing, I saw that she always asked before offering hugs. It's really as simple as that, to first find out if they even want a hug (because there are people who aren't very touchy feely and just generally don't like hugging), and then while you're hugging, make sur...

Can someone explain to me what this "Jelly Bean" thing I keep hearing about is? Going to summarize since searching for it leads to a bunch of ISVW vidoes that I'm absolutely not going to click on, but one time when Vic and Monica were at a con, Monica signed a jellybean, then Vic put it i...
