Re: The CW's ratings have officially reached rock bottom.
Now if they broadcasted the Cell Games, that would probably improve their ratings quite a bit.

Re: Why does Vegeta still call himself Prince?
His entire race and culture was swept from under him before he ever could ever become King. The title as it were would be worthless. The Saiyan race was a thing of the past and Vegeta's Princehood was the last remaining relic he could hold onto.

Z Movie 1 Pro: It was between the fight choreography and Kikuchi's score, and I think ultimately I'll go with the latter because it might be his best work Con: The Dead Zone was such a lazy "How can we come up with a way to get rid of an Immortal enemy?" copout because of how stupid it re...

Re: Were there hard feelings between Linda Young and Funimation after she was recast?
I seem to recall hearing that part of why she was recast was that she was genuinely not able to keep up with how verbose Freeza was in the Kai dub. Like, FUNi by their own admission had no idea what kind of character Freeza was supposed to be back in the Ocean days, which was partially down to the ...

I mean her own son is still on the dub so I doubt it's a big deal. It's a job, that stuff happens.

Re: What is this "Green Tint" I keep hearing about, and when did Toei begin usising it?
I don't remember the exact details but it's an error with the way they're either calibrating their screens or exporting their files and Toei is being headasses and claiming there is no problem even after it was brought to their attention, despite the fact that the home video/streaming releases look...

1. I know this forum used to auto filter dub terms to Japanese terms but that was clearly done away a long time ago and people on this forum have used Frieza, King Kai, Hercule, Sprit Bomb, Tien, Krillin, Special Beam Cannon blabbity blah blah all the time so complaining about that being moderated ...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
Contrivances are usually always a necessary evil for narrative fiction. Sometimes they do get too much but often criticism of it are just nitpicky and pedantic. Yeah at the end of the day something's gonna have to conveniently fall into place...the same shit happens in real life when you take a ste...

Re: Things from the Anime that you prefer over the canon of the manga
-Toei's conception of the Afterlife is a lot more fun than Toriyama's -Pilaf's shenanigans at the beginning of the Red Ribbon arc. -A lot of the Piccolo arc. Besides the aforementioned Super God Water, there's also Tien and how the Rice Cooker isn't broken as an afterthought - instead he actually ge...

Re: Was it ever explained away why no one in trunks time in the afterlife help out at all?
Yeah, people are forgetting that it was Kami that pulled strings for Goku to keep his body the first time he was killed, and did the same after everyone got killed by Nappa. It's possible that after all those guys got killed again, Enma was like "A'ight nigga this time it's for keeps, stop pla...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
The Buu Kai that's on Home Video actually does retain a fair bit of filler, especially for the Saiyaman stuff since that's damn near impossible to edit around due to how Toei integrated it into the canon. Well, they kept in what Saiyaman filler wasn't able to be cut, which involved Gohan saving the...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
Z's filler gets really tedious, though. When it's extra scenes not from the manga put in for the purposes of padding out the story, it can get really boring. When it's episodes where the production crew didn't have to worry about interrupting an ongoing storyline, those are fine. This is why I pref...

Re: Unpopular DB opinions
Toei was much better at handling Filler during the first series and even in the Saiyan saga, too. But I think the nature of the Namek/Frieza saga made it hard to organically integrate worthwhile stuff.

Re: Frieza, Cell and Buu Saga: which one has the LESS iconic moments?
I wanted to say the one least present in public consciousness was Boo, since it only really has the final Genki Dama and the Fusion dance, but Cell really on has the father-son Kamehameha climax, so… Weirdly, Cell, I guess. Although Cell himself might curry a little more cultural presence/iconograp...
