Goddamnit. I'm starting to think I haven't explained this before. I mean, if I'd explained why I used such a far-reaching and extreme example in a previous post, and you've said you read the whole thread, you'd have to be retarded to keep asking that question. So now we're resorting to name-calling...

Well, I'll try to restore a little dignity to this thread. Can I make a suggestion ? Why doesn't someone with the DragonBox and with FUNimation DVDs, rip small clips from an episode with high quality (the same among both episodes), preferably during a fight between Super Saiya-jins ? It would be per...

Re: exhibition A commerical release of a product(be it music or movie) is meant for private home viewing(just look at the FBI warning that pops up when the video starts, or at the back of the box where all the credit and legal information is). That means it's meant to be viewed only in the privatiy ...

Just a comparison, repeat: just a comparison. And, I said nothing about human rights. I repeatedly mentioned consumer rights. You were talking about slavery as a business model compared to filesharing. It's flat-out wrong, inappropriate, and shows a lack of taste and perceptive on your part (if it'...

Unless I'm mistaken on that everyone here knows the facts, and as I said YES the Toei discs are technically superior in quality. But they also lack subtitles. I'm not sure the lack of subtitles should even be an issue. It strikes me the same as saying that American dvds don't have Germen or Russian...

Take slavery. Slavery was a great economic business standard. Any business that employed (as in 'make use of', not 'pay') slaves seemed to do better than those that didn't. When it became illegal, many businesses went under. Those that didn't had to change their business practices. It was difficult...

And cancelling a production because of low interest is not indicitive of 'piracy'. Certainly not. But copying and distributing without the company's permission is piracy. Cancellation from low profit is one thing. Cancellation due to piracy is another. No one is saying, or has ever said that captia...

I'll make this very clear: I never meant that companies should produce a product that noone buys, that would be crazy. They should make a product that people will buy. If people have the option of downloading said product for free, then the only ones who will pay for it will be the ones who truly w...

Wow, first Hirotaki Suzuoki passed on not too long ago, and now this. May he rest in peace, and his roles remembered for years to come. EDIT, just looked at the animenewsnetwork link, like Suzuoki, this guy was in first Gundam. It's kinda neat to see those sort of cross-connections. He was also Kunz...

And that there are customers who pay the retail price of $24.95 per volume may want them? But... who actually pays $24.95 for the DVDs? Best Buy and most other places offers only $16 for the DVDs. Walmart has this movie for a dirt-cheap $11. So... again, who are these people that actually pay $25 f...

Garlic Jr: already has a saga. :P Dr. Willow: eh, they were ok for an hour-long movie, but not enough for a whole saga. Tullace: I would've like to know more about his backstory and such, so maybe something can be used there. Slug: well, we kinda already got that with Piccolo Daimao. :P Coola: well,...
