The lamest modern thing in Dragon Ball for me would have to be the music for Kai and BoG. The lack of Shunsuke Kikuchi and Hironobu Kageyama is so very disheartening. Also, I really don't enjoy any of the games that have come out since Super DBZ.

Gags happen in-universe but you can't draw conclusions from them because they are not meant to be taken seriously. Majin Vegeta against Majin Buu was a pretty good beat-down. SSJ2 Gohan making Cell throw up 18 was brutal, too. Nail's fight against Freeza also gets an honorable mention.

I really don't like the new animation style. It's very bubbly and shiny, which doesn't sit well with me at all. Although, the part where Bardock beat the living hell out of Chilled completely made up for it. That was easily the best part of the special.
