I just returned home from the party. Just want to say it was great meeting everyone! You were all such nice, fun people. Congrats to DaizEX on 200 podcast episodes. Thank you, Mike, Meri, Julian off in Japan, and everyone else for this wonderful DragonBall community and may it continue to bring fans...

... if anyone from NYC or anywhere close by will be going to Penn Station to maybe meet up. Less of a boring ride on the way there with other people to converse with :B Kirbopher, I live in Manhattan so I'll be going via Penn Station also. We could plan to meet up there to take the train if you'd l...

I confirmed on the Facebook event page a couple days ago, but just in case, I shall confirm again here: I will attend the part-ay. Can't wait to meet everyone! Peace. Oh, and I'm 21, so no worries there.

I'm a little late to the party here, but let me ask: I live in New York City, so will the location of the party be near enough to Manhattan to travel from here by public transit? Does anybody have any idea how I could get there that way? I have yet to visit NJ so I don't really know. I'm keenly inte...

:D Thank you, Derek! (Sorry that people went off on your article for a while there, but now back to the subject at hand...) I was glad to see a couple photos of the collection on the article. The pictures make it look like Mike Nilsen's collection has a lot of newer collectibles, but I'm curious as ...

The Epoch Times: A Dragon Ball Z Museum Powers Up!

I happened to stumble upon this article tonight when I casually glanced at the stack of Epoch Times newspapers in the lobby of my apartment building. It made my dreary day a little better. The timing seems uncanny to me since I had recently been daydreaming about the idea of one day opening a Dragon...

About a meeting time...
Friday night, Saturday afternoon, or Sunday afternoon/evening of the first weekend of October are all good for me. Same goes for any weekend, really. Except of course this coming weekend because I'm going to NY Anime Festival.

Yeah, Kinokuniya would be a great place to meet. I love that store. On the second floor next to their awesome Manga section, they have a little cafe with tables and such to sit at, if we wanted to chill and discuss stuff... haha, or whatever we're supposed to do at a DB Meet. Anyway, if this works o...

I live right in Manhattan, so I'm down. It would be cool to meet other DragonBall fans, especially since I moved here only recently and I need to meet people.

By the way, is anybody going to the New York Anime Festival in a couple weeks?

This was probably another one of my favorite podcast episodes ever. It was endlessly fascinating to me because I learned so many new things. I didn't realize fansubbing and all that had such a history. Everyone had very intelligent and well-articulated points to make about the issues. Great discussi...

http://dragonball.craveonline.com/ :P I busted out in laughter after seeing this, he doesn't even go Super Saiyan in the movie XD.. Hell, they did not use the word " Saiyan " even once in the entire movie. Correct me if I'm wrong. EDIT/PS: By the way, here's a short clip of Goku's workout...

I have it open, half-listening to the kid, and I hear "even though the trailer was kinda... GAY." L. M. A. O. What was so great about the Dragon Box trailer, now? Oh no, it was the way he said it and the inflection in his voice that I found humorous, not what was actually said. He was com...

 Oh man, that's pretty damn hilarious and kind of ironic. The person who wrote this description is apparently familiar with DBZ, but knows nothing about DBE. It does make me wonder if he/she would have written a better movie than Ben Ramsey.

[...] Freeza is by far the more nuanced character. Cell's cool and all, but his whole schtick is predicated upon him being an artificial being who'd just been created in a lab. [...] Freeza's a more rounded character, and has room to be. He’s not some clean slate of a test tube baby that’s fresh ou...

Is that SS Gohan in that collection a bootleg or is the Bandai logo just cut off? It's definitely a legit figure. The edge of the photo just cuts off the logo. I would never buy a bootleg figure. Unless I were to make a mistake and it wasn't at all obvious that it's a fake, but usually it's easy to...

SHINOBI-03 wrote: It would be funny if they left the Japanese menus as they were...!! Another way to keep the casual fans away
I for one think that would be kind of awesome, haha. It would help me work on my Japanese. But it's not likely.

My DB Figure Collection

:D I love collecting DB action figures! Gahhh! No matter how many I get, I always want more. It's an addiction. But I haven't bought any in a while because I'm unemployed... Ja, kore wa boku no collection: http://i200.photobucket.com/albums/aa315/impeterpan/DragonBall/myfigures1.jpg http://i20...

Holy crap, this thread is insane lol. I only just got word of the news... HALLE-FUCKING-LUJAH!!!
