Re: Has TFS damaged the reputation of the franchise in the U
I think some people are unable to watch ANYTHING without trying to reduce each moment to a series of questions (How was that done? Why was it done? What if they did this?) and while there's nothing wrong with it, it makes some things impossible to enjoy. And while this might make them overly critica...

Re: Who would most likely kill Chi Chi ?
It was Piccolo, in the parlor, with the wrench In all seriousness, given the suspects and the general whimsy of Toriyama, I could see Goku doing it accidentally, like hitting through the house with a stray kamehameha while training in the backyard. Videl is in the room with Chichi when this happens...

Re: FUNimation's Top 10 Best Fathers Includes... Goku?!
I personally wouldn't want Goku as my biological father, but maybe he represents more than parenthood on the biological level? He was a hero and source of comfort to viewers for generations, and Dragonball did lead to a lot of the anime we love today. Maybe while he"s not the best father to Goh...

Re: How many plan to watch BOG in theaters?
^Since you are in LA, perhaps we can go to a mutual showing? We'll see when the details come out. I'll keep this brief since I don't want to drive the thread off-topic, but yeah, sure! PM me as the debut gets closer. If it's in an area drive-able from Houston I am so in. I apologize in advance for ...

Re: Best way to make Saiyan Armour?
I used Eva Foam for mine. All you do is cut out the shapes you want so they fit your body, bake each piece for 5 minutes, shape, and then glue and paint the thing! It turned out okay, but it was light and durable which I liked.

Re: Why did FUNimation spell Freeza with an "i"?
Maybe since the romaji is "furiza" the translator thought that the F rieza spelling was closer?

Re: Did FUNImation irrepairably cripple the fandom in the US
I think it's more of the case that assholes irrepairably cripple the reputation of the fandom. I prefer the FUNI dub, because it is what I grew up with and those voices fill me with memories that make me much happier than superior acting jobs do. However, I don't think the dub is superior. But even ...

Well they did do a song for the series, so maybe they did like it before or check it out afterwards and loved it. Why are they only pretending?

Re: Freeza and his men all have stereotypically "gay" traits
I definitely think they were given feminine traits, but I think it's up to the viewer to decide if that strikes them as 'gay' or not. I personally don't see it. Yes they may have acted posh or delicate, but I don't see traits of them liking other men(accept for a few choice instances in the Funi dub...

the original Jap version, could you use a less offensive term? Don't see how I was offensive.. I have nothing against Japanese. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jap "Jap" is actually a derogatory name for Japanese. Even though it was just an abbreviation, a lot of people still take offense to...

Re: Is it worth is to watch Kai after DBZ?
Chris Ayres sounding like an eighty year old lady? :eh: Maybe constipated was a better choice of description  Huh? No more so than any other actor who powers up. Maybe because Chris' voice is already higher and more effeminate than most men, and is even higher for Frieza, so it sounds less 'm...

Re: Would you enjoy an official dub done by Team Four Star?
Of course I would. However, I do agree that because of the job they did with DBZA, I would constantly be on the edge of my seat for a joke. When a group does an excellent job with a parody, I constantly expect comedy when I see them associated with a work they've parodied. While I am more than eager...

Re: Have you ever had a crush on a DB character as a kid?
Ok, I have no idea how this works, being "anti" like Piccolo, but how can people be attracted to fictional animated characters......? The mind boggles at the thought.... The same way people can have crushes on celebrities or (seemingly) unobtainable individuals. I think that there's a lot...
