Re: Episode #0347 (27 October 2013)

Hi,
The character is definitely Kame Sen'nin (voiced by Masaharu Satō) from DBZ movie 13 (barbecue scene).
Sorry for my answer being so late, i listened the podcast only today..

Re: Dragon Ball Kai to Air in Portugal (2012 Announcement)

I've read that there are a bunch of people who won't watch Kai unless it is dubbed. Of course everyone who grew up with our cheesy old dub wants the same voice actors to dub Kai. As for people who are glad of the sub-only airing, that's mainly dbboxkaifan xD I also like the sub-only airing. The por...

Re: Portuguese Dragon Ball Tankoubon Edition *On Going* - Re

Did ASA publicize the manga? If not for word-of-mouth, I wouldn't have even known they were releasing Dragon Ball over here. I'm sure there were no TV commercials and I doubt there were publicity in magazines or such... how could they think they'd sell well if they don't invest in publicity? I thin...

As long as they (Funimation) release the Dragon Boxes of Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball GT and the movies, for me the order is not important.

Re: Dragon Ball Kai to Air in Portugal (2012 Announcement)

A great majority of the portuguese fans only want to see Dragon Ball dubbed in portuguese, i really can't understand it. In my opinion it's a kind of obsession. It has gotten to the point where João Loy, the original dub voice of Vegeta (first and last, since he came back for GT) made a message enc...

Envy me is envy I just went to my cousin's house and he gave 4 more volumes and I must say that these are actually pretty cool (loving the yellow on the covers) and these seem smaller than the ASA ones. Yes, they are smaller than the ASA ones. Planeta DeAgostini's edition was based in this spanish ...

Re: Dragon Ball Kai to Air in Portugal (2012 Announcement)

Yes, some of them were funny, specially when Dragon Ball was first airing and was THE thing over here and we didn't know better. But the worst part is when people insist on having a dub with the same voices and overall script because it's "funnier". It's kinda offensive to the series beca...

One manga for almost 10€? Nah, no thanks. But it's better than spending 12€ in some "new" crappy t-shirts. Those volumes are pretty much entering collector status, I'm not letting go of mine anytime soon  I am also one of the lucky guys who has the entire collection, it's not a...

For example: in the beginning of volume 8, when General Blue comes back to the Red Ribbon HQ, one of the guards says: "Pisga-te, antes que te transformemos em comida para cão !!" - ("Beat it, before we turn you into dog food !") Don't know if this is the actual quote as I don't ...

Saiyanjin Supersaiyanjin Supersaiyano Did they really wrote them altogether as you've just did? O.O 'Saiyano' sounds Brazilian-ish to me and the Brazilians didn't even come up with an alternative term, instead they kept with the original, Saiyajin. Yes, they really wrote as i did above. You're righ...

I was not totally sure, then i've checked today that Planeta DeAgostini's edition vol.27 use "saiyanjin" or "supersaiyanjin" and "supersaiyano" in the title which is "A lenda do supersaiyano". I don't know if Planeta DeAgostini ever used the term "super g...
