Re: Brian Drummond WIN
Honestly, as nice as he was at bringing a villainous and angry tone to Vegeta, he just didn't seem right for the part when Vegeta ends up defecting to the good side.

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
What's so bad about dub fans wanting Faulconer Productions' score in Kai? It's obviously not going to happen, but it's the score they associate the show with. It just feels weird to them watching DBZ without it. I'm just saying that it's quite funny how the immature ones were usually the ones to go...

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
-Complaining about casts they don't like.
-Saying they don't match the characters.
-Doesn't understand why the music is different from what they're used to.
Gee, this sounds oddly familiar, doesn't it? Congratulations to those dub-only folk; you now know what we've been dealing with for 14 years.

Would you guys prefer we have the episode titles give away the whole episode's details like we did in Z?

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
Is Kai doing that well? From what I've heard a lot of the dub fans were pretty mad at the cast changes and new script. If that does comes to pass I'll be very interested in what approach they take to the entire project. Although that's a pretty far way off if at all to even seriously think about. :...

Re: DragonBall Z Kai TV Network Version (CW4Kids\Toonzai) Edits!
I like how the closed captions from the Nicktoons dub are the same on the CW dub. Even when Chaozu said nothing in the CW airing, switching to CC showed his dialogue was still there.

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
Edit: I also thought all the edits were done tastefully too. It's nice to have a dub that offsets the crazy from CW4kids. Didn't the Saban era dub edit a Namekian's (namely Piccolo's) blood to green in the Raditz stuff too? Now to wait for South Park and Ugly American. Yeah, when Piccolo lost his a...

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
Damn, I'm so upset I misunderstood the promos and was expecting two new episodes back-to-back tonight (I guess it actually means new episode tonight, new episode tomorrow, and so on for each successive Wednesday and Thursday?), because now I want to hear more of this voice. You're not the only one....

Re: Dragonball Kai Dub
Unfortunately, because of the necessary snippets of the horn being shown in Kuririn, we didn't get to hear part of the chorus. On another note, I really like how they kept Freeza's line about comparing everyone against him as ants banding against a dinosaur. Also like how all he did was deepen his v...

The Sengoku Basara anime isn't very old, yet his Oda Nobunaga is absolutely amazing.

The end of that clip shows he can still do powerful screams as he did as Cell in Z.

Re: Kai Episode 76 (10th October 2010)
I dunno about you guys...but did anyone get the feeling that Mr. Wakamoto wasn't really trying? I haven't seen the full episode, so I can't comment too much. But just by seeing Cell's expressions and actions, Mr. Wakamoto's delivery looks really off in regards to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v...

Yeah I do see a lot less of them, but my Target and Wal-Mart's still have them in, and I believe between both stores you can get almost the whole series. My Wal-Mart has 3 of the Dragon Ball season sets (1, 4 & 5), and DBGT: The Complete Series. I have to travel about 30 minutes to get to a sto...

Re: DragonBall Z Kai Cable TV Version (NickToons) Edits!
Before the episode even starts we have some editing errors... I don't know if that can even be classified as errors. It's not that different from when they left a few things in One Piece's broadcast to sneak past the censors, such as editing a few frames in one scene and then leaving them untouched...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming...
I think I remember reading in a Dragon Ball-specific issue of Animerica a long time ago where Toriyama had actually thought the whole concept of shouting attack names seemed silly due to the fact that the villains could easily just interrupt right as an attack name's being said or even a pose for it.

Re: Dragonbox Volume 2
As much as we (well, most of us) hate to admit it, FUNimation shot themselves in the foot when they didn't include their broadcast track. I believe that's the main reason why that pseudo-remastered crap still sells way more than the Dragon Boxes. Or it could be that the people who were buying the o...

Differences in culture, really. It's something that's generally frowned upon over there. Unfortunately, I happen to live in a country that's okay with having Paris Hilton slutting and coking it up. If only we could follow Japan's example on what to do with her. :p

When did he voice Freeza, though? I thought it was always Linda Young doing his voice in the dub prior to Kai, voice modified and all for the transformation?

Re: Dragonbox Volume 2
I managed to get myself a used copy of Dragon Boxes Vol. 1 and 2 each over at MovieStop this past weekend. Cost me around $58 total, but well worth it (Vol. 1 being $20 and Vol. 2 being $35 plus tax). Both came complete (cases, discs and books) and were in perfect condition. Didn't even have the iss...
