Finally beat the Vegeta survival. I found a strategy that works very well... and it is beyond simple. It's actually kind of sad it worked because it seemed so cheesy. All I did was block to start, wait for him to get close, then squarex5, walk towards him(yes, walk, not dash) and do squarex5 again.....

It's true though, I was only speaking in the hypothetical case that Vegeta was actually alive for the Babidi saga events. Vegeta was quite dead at the hands of the uber powerful russian andriod of doom.
