Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

I do not doubt it but, I was not actually trying to make a case for who would win in a confrontation.
My point was how tiers based mainly on one stat, as oppose to all stats of a character, does not represent them properly. Also, I tried to suggest it is bad if the stats are not differentiated ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

I think the problem with sites like vsbattle is that they tend to rely heavily on their arbitrary tier ranking and generally consider Naruto forums' calculations to be solid as actual evidence.
Their tiers are mostly based on what x character can destroy, but does not take into account context or if ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

What you guys think of this:It goes against Death Battle's statement of Superman having infinite strength.
It was never ever stated that Superman has "Infinite strength" at an infinite constant like people think it as. Limitless potential just means that unlike Goku, Superman has no barriers ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Death Battles Supes seems to be a composite Supes, but I'm actually surprised they haven't used CA Supes. They probably will if there ever comes a time Supes might lose in their battles.

Not that it would make a difference but they'd probably have to use a fused character to parallel the merger ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Someone want to sum that desk vid for me? The only 2 I saw being the Sonic and Goku and Vegeta parent one were so stupid I don't want to see another shit video. What stupidity did they say this time. Death Battle has more reasoning than...that stupid desk crap.

Basically that Muhammad Ali ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

There is clearly a bias in favor of Goku cause you and a few others are actively trying to tear away Superman's higher tier feats while simultaneously saying Goku's feats "Don't need to make sense. It's fiction." and saying that Superman's don't make sense and shouldn't be considered. Again, you ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Tenchi is suppose to be an individual on equal standing to omnipotent beings. (The glowing being shown in the 3rd ova was his omnipotent self from 1000 years in the future) Also, If we were to take the statements of the choushin at face value, then he would actually be on a tier beyond those 3. That ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Why not think of it like a ripple building up into a tsunami before finally petering out again. The harder they clash, the farther and more destructive each subsequent ripple becomes. In my opinion I think this idea was what they were going for when the came up with the sequence. A ripple starts of ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Again, no. There are multiple appeals to authority. You seem to be asserting there's only one, which is objectively untrue. The syllogism I gave you is fairly common and evoked all the time. You can read more about this here: http://150.162.138.5/portal/sites/defau ... 6-1-PB.pdf Maybe it came off ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Well when he moved the Mageddon engine which was much larger than the sun

Just a minor point,

Superman did not move the Mageddon, he only broke out of his chains. What he did do however is absorb the anti-sun energy from Mageddon's power source (thus stopping the Mageddon threat) which may be a ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Erm, no. That's not the only type of an appeal to authority. What I stated is actually a far more common example. Syllogistically your argument looks exactly like an appeal to authority:

X is considered an authority on something
X says something about that something
X is probably correct

Sorry ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

While I don't agree or disagree with either of you, the argument your making is an appeal to authority. Your conclusion may not be invalid, but the way you're getting there is. I'm sure Degrasse is no different than Lawrence Kruass and Richard Dawkins on the issue, who both agree there is no ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Your fun fact is according to one shaky assumption about one of at least 10 interpretations of quantum physics. We honestly have zero certainty what would happen if someone even could travel faster than light. But I will give you this, whatever does happen, it probably will be nothing like wha is ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

The normal characters actually do lose them as they continue fighting faster and faster. Also regarding them being able to track the action; it looked more like they were at a loss for what little they could see (which could be very little, like faint blurs, explosions, etc) and were hoping that at ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Indeed, it shows that Superman would at least attempt something most would assume is absurd. That said,
deathbattle was never a battle of character but of capability, hence why so many (or vocal few) dwell on
the credibility of such feats. Any talk of character seemed to be an attempt to placate DB ...

Re: Death Battle: Goku vs Superman 2

Hello all, I've been passively following this thread for a bit now and thought I'd try to bring a bit of context to some of the feats
Superman fans have pointed out on occasion.

With regards to lifting the book with infinite pages: Shazam and superman tried to lift the book (a levitating book if ...
