Re: Dragon Ball Manga vs Anime Release Chart
Extremely insightful and impressive chart. My massive props to you! I actually started rewatching the series like this recently, and I even started it with Dr. Slump. I had about 52 chapters of the manga, before starting the first anime series. Dr. Slump is odd in where some of the chapters just hav...

Re: How would you rank Kikuchis 23 music packages?
1. A-J : This was a pretty close one for me, but it just takes the cake by a hair, because it's all released music and from the first disc of the Daizenshuu set, which I'll shamefully admit I downloaded back in the day when I was getting into the Japanese version. I chose H4 as my favorite, because ...

Re: Any celebrities that like Dragon Ball?
Shaq's son, Shareef O'Neal, a high school basketball phenom and a virtual guarentee for the NBA, constantly posts Dragonball related stuff all the time on his twitter. I cover sports for a living, and have been doing high school sports the past few years and there is plenty of love for Dragon Ball ...

Re: Track By Track, the Complete Song Collection Box
Disc 5 (sorry the wait!): Track 1: Sweet Lovely Midnight…the Other Side of the Moon… (Shin’ichi Ishihara): Funky and synthy intro. As much as I love Ishihara on songs such as WARNING OF DANGER, this is one for me where he doesn't fit. It's somewhat how I feel for the vocalist to the opening for Supe...

Re: Track By Track, the Complete Song Collection Box
I WILL be starting and finishing this up at some point soon! Got really sidetracked by some real life stuff last summer, and am looking forward to finishing this.

Re: What Japanese-only thing would you like to be brought state-side?
Sadly, it was over a decade(!) ago, but I would have loved to have seen Super Dragon Ball Z in arcades outside of Japan. It would have been awesome to see Dragon Ball next to some of the other classic arcade cabinets.

Re: DragonBall Symphonic Adventure (2017)
Wow. Girlfriend and I had these on the background while we made breakfast this morning, and during some of those DB sound samples and seeing some of the scenes playing on the screen, I lost it for a little bit. Such a beautiful orchestral arrangement. Don't think something like that would likely hap...

Re: "DBH: Ultimate Mission X" Official Discussion Thread
On the whole, yeah, the game runs better. It's a significant improvement. It's clearly targeting 60fps, but any time there's massive movement or more than one character, it still dips. It's a CONSISTENT dip this time, though, and it's dipping to a much higher framerate than either of the previous t...

Re: Any celebrities that like Dragon Ball?
Los Angeles Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen notes he watched a lot of DBZ as a child in this ESPN article. Referring to Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell being an avid Pokémon fan: "I watched Pokémon a little bit. I was more of a Dragon Ball Z type of guy. I was watching more Dragon Ball Z gr...

Re: Any Other DBZ Vocal Songs outside the Hit Song Collections?
The only thing I could think of would be "Hikari No Willpower", which came on the "Dragon Ball Z – Game Music: Awakening Edition" CD. It's also on the Chozenshu set. But other than that...that's about it!

Re: "Detekoi Tobikiri Zenkai Power!" instrumental?
There's no official CD-quality instrumental release (as far as I know, at least). Really, your best bet is the links the above posters suggested, even though the sound quality. There's a Karaoke version on the Complete Song Collection Box, but still features backing vocals. And I'm actually pretty s...

Re: Your personal way of saying names.
Really depends on who I'm talking to. A few people that I work with are fans, so I typically stick to dub terms around them, though the occasional "Saiya-jin" or "Tenshinhan" comes out. I know a lot of people here have transitioned to SAI-yan and Artificial Humans. I typically st...

When/Where do you find yourself listening to DB music the most?
For me, my job requires me to drive for 90% of the time (pizza delivery), so when I get bored of listening to 80's music on Spotify on my phone, I've got an ol' 120 GB iPod classic that I've got loaded up with tons of Dragon Ball music (and since it's me, every single Journey bootleg out there). I a...

Re: "DBH: Ultimate Mission X" Official Discussion Thread
Got in my pre-order for the First Print Edition, so hopefully between now and late April I can find a cheap used Japanese 3DS!
Re: M1625-2
M1625-2 is originally from Movie 9, but never got used in the score. The piece can be found as the second piece on the third track of Disc 3 of the Complete BGM Collection.
