Re: Enlightened entertainment
To take a DnD example, Demogorgon is slaughtering the population of Faerun and subjecting them to horrors beyond hell. Should Torm and the other gods tell the people to "suck it up" because the gods are lazy cowards? It's practically the same thing with Freeza, as he is slaughtering much ...

Re: Enlightened entertainment
If that were the case, then Buu shouldn't have been Kaioshin's business, seeing as he disrupted the "natural order" in order to try and prevent it being released. And Kami also got involved when Piccolo was at the 23rd Budokai.

Re: Enlightened entertainment
Popo is a pothead and has a secret garden in which he tends, and grows the dankest of the Earth's bud you could ever imagine. White Rhino or Cinderella 99 has nothing on what Popo's got brewing in the pot behind the lookout.. oh my, oh my. It even made Goku grow a few feet. And it's also great for ...

Re: Enlightened entertainment
Yeah, I think Kaioshin was incompetent wrt Freeza, seeing as he's responsible for the universe (and letting some despot carve a streak of blood across the universe doesn't strike me as being a good Kaioshin).Fox666 wrote:I think that these gods don't care about Freeza at all.

Re: Enlightened entertainment
I think Kaioshin and Kibito were on the lookout for Babidi so they weren't so much bored as preoccupied, which probably factored into the decision not to kill Freeza.

BTW, about the cast list, I've noticed that the one on TFS's official page contradicts that on the official TFS website, particularly about who will be playing Android 17. Which one is correct?

Re: What Would You Have Added/Changed?
My Changes: The Saiyan Saga could instead be about Raditz, Vegeta and Nappa coming to recruit Goku to help overthrow Freeza (Maybe they learn about the truth of what happened to Planet Vegeta). Maybe get rid of Kienzan (as TFS noted, it was pretty much an "I win" button that would ruin the...

Re: New composer for Kai - who would it be?
James Horner could suit the DB franchise very well, tracks from Yamamoto Kai were ripped off from Avatar's soundtrack and others. Nah, he'd probably still be angry with Toei over the whole affair. Which was why I'd either have Shiro Sagisu (Bleach, Evangelion), or Jeremy Soule (Total Annihilation, ...

Re: Keep Vegeta dead?
No, and Maybe. The thing is, Vegeta was absolutely necessary for future events (Androids), and offing him in the Freeza saga would leave too much of a mess for the Androids. Now, I would be more partial to that happening the Buu saga, as his death held more value in terms of character development (S...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
I would probably faint if Shunki Levy got to re-score Kai. I know they are definitely re-score the series, but since they're even keeping the cast details under wraps, it's unlikely we'll find out who's composing the music. Thing about art is, much like people themselves, its constantly changing. A...

Re: Planet Vegeta, Namek and Freezer...
my personal theory about there being no more Kaioshin is that because the South and Dai Kaioshins were absorbed rather than killed by Buu, they were considered "alive" and thus it was decided by the tree that replacements weren't necessary. And for North and West? I'm not sure. Perhaps it...

For me, To put it in terms of credit ratings, Ocean would be CAA, Funimation 1st time would be BB- (Both "Junk" status) and Funimation Kai would be ABB ("Investment grade", but not AAA+).

What I would be really excited to hear is Lee Tockar's Freeza, and how he's going to handle it.

Re: Are you tired of Goku being called a bad parent? Cause I
The thing is, Gohan probably also developed Stockholm syndrome during the Saiyan saga, and i'm surprised Chi-Chi didn't get him through therapy (many soldiers undergo the same for PTSD) the moment he got back from Namek.

Yeah, I watch Kai, or Teamfourstar for that matter, for anything up to Cell Saga. I only watch the old dub for the Buu Saga, at least until Kai gets around to it.
