Re: False Dragon Ball Rumors You Actually Believed
Only one that comes to mind is being told you could unlock the Super Saiyan transformation in the first Legacy of Goku game once you reached level 10. I still remember rushing home after school, spending hours grinding to level 10 against wolves and that one big dinosaur (this is before the Raditz f...

Re: What about the old dub did you like?
I really like Ian James Corlett as Goku, but unlike the Sabat-Vegeta arguments of maturation over the course of the series, I feel that Goku is the one that undergoes a more visible character shift. Corlett did a wonderful job as a young, more light-hearted Goku, but can you imagine his voice in th...

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
With all this build up, I find it unlikely it won't be disappointing. I mean, seriously, it's been several years. What are they doing, using the studio money for coke and whores? It better be the best f***ing dub Ocean has ever done, better than Black Lagoon's and Death Note's combined. If it's any...

The Trunks/Cell fight could have been handled better. Having him just give up for a silly reason wasn't worth all that build up.

Anyone else bothered by this? (TFS related)
While I enjoy watching the abridged series I've noticed a growing number of people in the YouTube comments saying that DBZ abridged was their introduction to Dragonball Z. While on one hand it's great that a newer generation are being introduced to the series I can't help but feel a little bothered ...

Re: If Dragon Ball/Z followed a more "episodic" format
I think the only way self contained stories could work in Dragonball Z is if they were during times of peace such as the episode where Goku and Piccolo learn to drive or Gohan is in high school. You could still have issues that need to be resolved but they wouldn't be nearly as dangerous or life thr...

I never got round to finishing Dragonball so I still haven't seen the Piccolo vs Goku era.

I think it would become useless once you start getting super saiyans and characters that can move faster than he can inhale.

Re: Ocean Studios' "Dragon Ball Kai" dub seems to be coming.
My main issue with Morrow's Goku is that he can't quite grasp the innocent side of Goku very well and when he is seemingly to be trying, it just basically sounds like the rest of his performance. Also, he can't scream to save his life, it's terrible *coughSSJ3cough*. Morrow had a pretty good SSJ vo...

Re: What would happen if Masako Nowaza died?
Wish her back with the Dragon balls!... or not. I guess there must be a voice match out there somewhere. People are always imitating famous character voices. I imagine with enough effort they could find a decent voice match. One that can act though? That's a different issue altogether. it's either t...

I'de love for Harris to return. He's an awesome narrator especially in the early Ocean dub where he talked slower and deeper.

Re: Maybe it's enough of dbz fighting games?
At this point I don't think it's unreasonable to want a European or American dev team for a DBZ game. I'de love to see what they could do with it. The Legacy of Goku, The Legacy of Goku II, Buu's Fury, and DBGT: Transformation were all made by American dev teams. Yeah but those are just little hand...

Interesting stuff Ashura. Though now I'm curious as to why the Blue Water dubs didn't replace the Japanese music if AB Groupe could have made more money from having their own scores.

Re: Dragon Ball GT Ideas
I think there was a missed opportunity in the space travelling aspect of GT. While it was cool to see other alien races it didn't really feel like it was the same universe that had been ruled by Freeza. We know that Earth and New Namek prospered after Freeza's death but I feel like there should have...

Re: Brilliant (but subtle) writing in Dragonball
I always liked that Gohan's arm was immobilised during the final battle with Cell and how that kind of mirrored Future Gohan not having an arm. It was almost like it was teasing the audience into believing that the predicted future was inevitable and that Gohan was still going to have the same fate ...
