Re: Why do the Z fighters appear to lose some of their strength
I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but is it that it looks visually like they are weaker/slower if so then it's easy explainable by the fact, that AT can't have the characters disappearing all the time while they fight, because then how are we readers going to see what they are doing?? In the earl...

Re: Is the manga too Goku dominated?
Yeah you're right about that, it will just mean that the other characters were useful in around 60% of the time.Kid Buu wrote:You forgot about Yamcha and Puar beating Oozaru Goku when he went on that rampage.

Re: Cell, and how he operates. (Speculative question)
1). Q(question)1. He seems to be pretty exhausted, when completely regenerated, after his Kamehameha backfired at him, so I don't think he has the infinite stamina, that #17 #18 has. Q2. It could be though, as you said, that he only had a minimum meaning if he had to use up a lot of energy(like the ...

Re: Strength, Speed, Durability or Stamina?
Well since the barrier probably only can feed of the power, that 17 actually has and his power is lower than Cell's it can be assumed that Cell could still find a way to break through so yeah you could be right.Savage68 wrote:It doesn't have to mean that. But it probably does.

Re: Aspects of Dragon Ball that never cross your mind...
If Vegeta or Goku fought Dabura instead of Gohan, one of them would of killed Dabura then they would of destroyed Babidi, which means Majin Buu wouldn't of been released. I would have loved seeing Babidi cry with sorrow xD And yeah, if Vegeta had ignored Kaioshin and chosen to blow up the ship inst...

Re: Strength, Speed, Durability or Stamina?
How could #17 create a barrier capable of fending off Imperfect Cell's attacks? Or, more aptly put: Why didn't he use this barrier (at any point) once he saw how he was so impossibly outmatched? The barrier of Cell's that you're thinking of was being projected by someone in the midst of coming into...

Re: Is the manga too Goku dominated?
Oh yeah I didn't take that into consideration, well anyways he did have some sort of personality change, or else Piccolo wouldn't have mentioned, that he had lost his weakness, if that means he was totally awesome in school and not the pre tournament Gohan we knew, then those 10 years were filled wi...

Re: Strength, Speed, Durability or Stamina?
That's impossible. After being hit head-on with Piccolo's Violent Grenade, Cell's ki hadn't dropped a bit. Infinite stamina means shit if you're too weak to at least inflict a little bit of damage with an all-out ki blast. What if #17 just used his barrier? I'm sure Cell couldn't penetrate that jus...

Re: The Timelines Of Dragon Ball
Order of appearance: The main timeline(T4) = the one where the story takes place. Trunks alternate future(T3) = Where Trunks we know come from, everything happened the same way here as it did in the main timeline with the exception of Freeza's arrival and the battle against the androids. Cell's time...

Re: Is the manga too Goku dominated?
He didn't even compete in the 28th TB for crying out loud. Nor did Piccolo. And there was really no need for any of them to anyway. None of the Z-Warriors competed in the 26th and 27th Tenka'ichi Budokais. Goku and Vegeta only went because Goku sensed Oob, and Goten and Trunks were dragged into it ...

Re: Is the manga too Goku dominated?
*snip* I pretty much agree with what you just wrote. I also find it weird, that Gohan, after Kid Buu was defeated, didn't train. Sure he had to study to become a whatever the hell he wanted to be, but he seemed to be pretty interested in fighting, well at least, when he faced Super Buu. You knoww t...

Re: Aspects of Dragon Ball that never cross your mind...
- If Yajirobe didn't exist, there would be no one to give Goku a senzu after his fight with Piccolo, and Piccolo would have died. And also, Yamcha would have died against C20 too, and so would Goku (he would have last a shorter time against C19) and the others who fought the Androids and Cyborgs. N...

Herms had been translating for us in a different forum before it went down. Now that we know Old Kaioshin's asking something about this huge Majin Boo he just saw, what do you think he's asking about? Re: Is the manga too Goku dominated?
Since you already made a DBZ list I will make one for DB: 1. Goku defeats the pterodactyl and the bear thief. 2. Goku carries the turtle to the sea, making him bring Muten Roshi. 3. Bulma shows her invisible panties to Roshi to receive the Dragonball. 4. Bulma devises the plan to trick Oolong. 5. Go...

Where did you even get Herms translation??? And yeah I want to know what 4th panel said, it's actually the most important one! EDIT: To all the people where I said that Buff Buu was only stated to be Kid Buu + South Kaioshin I was WRONG, I don't have the translation of the 4th panel yet, so just ign...

Re: Chaozu > Yajirobe
During the Saiyan saga, Vegeta stated there were six levels over 1,000 (unless this is filler, I'm not sure). But wasn't Gohan suppressed to 981, meaning he couldn't be one of those six levels? But what I'm really asking is: Do you think Chaozu is stronger than Yajirobe during that entire Saiyan or...

Re: Strength, Speed, Durability or Stamina?
I guess it depends on the fight. If two characters are evenly matched to begin with, then stamina would obviously be the most important thing. Goku seems to value stamina himself, ever since his training with Mr. Popo. It's definitely something that shouldn't be overlooked. This! Check out the Picc...

Re: Buff Buu= Kid Buu+South Kaioshin??
I don't believe TOEI would assume Buff Buu is Kid Buu+South Kaioshin if Akira Toriyama hadn't give them some more light on this. It is a huge jump for TOEI, knowing their filler history I can't see that happening. And does really nothing supports Buff Buu being Kid Buu merged with S. Kaioshin besid...

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
Nail asks Vegeta happily to kill him... Do I smell a foreshadowing for his fight with Freeza?! It could be, he will probably behave the same way and think he is clearly superior and then Freeza will begin the horror...! Taking away all his awesomeness. Seriously man it would have been cool to see a...
