Well, I've always seen the movies as a 'what if' scenario. What if Goju beat Cell durring the Cell Games? He wouldn't have died, and Gohan wouldn't have gone Super Saiyan 2. Gohan would get back to studying, and they'd probably have a party - in the park, maybe, with karyoke. That sets up a perfect ...

DBZ Movie 1 - Return My Gohan

Couple of quick questions, I'm trying to figure out if Movie 1 happens before Raditz's arrival, or instead of it. Q1. Does everyone already know about Gohan's "rage-power" before he uses it on Garlic Jr.? Q2. Are Piccolo and Goku on "friendly" terms, like they had worked together...

Well... In the Japanese version of Dragonball its "Saiya-Jin". And the "jin" piece is used to make it a person of that nation; like... "Nihon-Jin" which means "Japanese Person", where "Nihon" means "Japan", and the "jin" makes it...

Holy crap, the Ocean dub is terrible. Hey, Jerseymilk (or anyone else in Canada) did YTV use the Ocean dub or the FUNi Texas dub? I really don't remember that as Vegeta's voice.

Re: Looking For Ocean Clips.

Is there anyone here that would know of a site that I can see Ocean dub's clips (Audio or Video)? I would love to hear alternate English voices for Mr.Satan, chibi Trunks and Majin Boo. Well, I feel like a terrible newbie - but - I thought Ocean got snubbed before the Cell saga, ie: no Trunks, 'Hur...

I would say that Mr. Satan was based off Frank Dux. I know that name. I know you're right. But I can't for the life of me remember who the hell Frankie Dux is... He's ex-CIA Special Ops who was taught ninjitsu by his neighbor as a teenager. At least that's what he says. http://en.wikipedia....

He also didn't do what a lot of artists to - all of the visuals were very clear and separated, easy to follow. And he didn't do that "Chibi" or whatever stupid effect where characters sporatically change size and facial traits. And his art style is unique - to this day it's easy to recogn...

I think it's to do with the style. Toriyama studied cartoons which resulted in his cartoon-ish style. Though many otakus try and copy the anime style, I think that the cartoon style would best appeal to a Japanese audience as they only see anime styles. The manga style is based off of the Disney ca...

Why not repeats? What's the Japanese view on that? It seems to me that filler is what Japan uses when we air repeats. I never thought of that. That's a pretty good comparison I think. Except that when we make something based on something else, we either wait until that something else is finished or...

I've always been under the impression that Namekians are tree-like. They require only water, they reproduce by themselves, they live for hundreds of years, they can regrow limbs, even their appearence is plant-like (green and tall).

Thanks for quoting the old post, Desire. I changed it because he's PMSing a little today (and I really didn't want to seem as rude as I came off.) Also, he is publishing it. The second it's on this board it's published for whatever person on the net who finds it. You have been a little rude lately....
