While no offense is meant, you haven't seen anything . I'll happily send you a sampler disc with some clips directly taken from the DragonBox, back-to-back with FUNi clips. I'll also throw in test patterns and tell you how to calibrate your television to (close to) reference levels. THEN, you can r...

What I have noticed is the difference in packaging, it's now in a hard plastic case and the discs are no longer stacked on top of each other, not to mention the 4:3 shots on the box and in the book are now 16:9 (not sure if they were cropped or just stretched) , and the spine no longer forms part o...

I just got my copy of Funi's Season 1 box today (Yay..?, I'm really conflicted about it :? ) What I have noticed is the difference in packaging, it's now in a hard plastic case and the discs are no longer stacked on top of each other, not to mention the 4:3 shots on the box and in the book are now 1...

I'm pretty sure I didn't laugh or feel emotionally stirred even once throughout the experience, and frankly the designs were awful, A-W-F-U-L. What about the ending?, I thought that was the only part of GT that lived up to (In my opinion, actually surpassed) it's predecessor, I thought Z had an inc...

For the large part, I enjoyed GT. Sure there were plotholes galore, but amidst the crap there were some genuinely good Ideas (I liked the whole Tsufu-jin Saiya-jin history) but they all suffered from poor execution. I think the series had more consistent animation (possibly because it was shorter) a...

Anyway, I still think that the hair would be a bit silly to reproduce, though I understand where you're coming from when you reference recent comic book based movies. Wolverine from X-Men comes to mind. I thought it was really cool how they styled Hugh Jackman's hair. Still, I don't know. I'm think...

Well'p, I got pretty much two different voices to use for Tullece if you guys wanna check out. Here's my Tullece voice at work in a short parody and here's my Goku voice in a very ruthless manner . Ya' know, if myself or Acid aren't suitable, we could always have omega give an evil Goku voice for T...

What he said. :-) I have the cheapest set up that you can imagine. I own an Emerson TV, which I got for free when I bought a car a couple of years ago. Yeah, free . My DVD player is a Cyberhome CH-DVD 300, which ran me about 36 bucks at Wal-mart, after tax. So, I'm guessing either your television i...

To be fair on Madman, the reason people in the US get them for so cheap is because a lot of places sell far below the MSRP, whereas JBhifi and other places in Aus only sell lower to a certian degree. it's moreso our market just being way smaller (and less wasteful) than the US. Besides which, $10 A...

Actually, Madman is releasing the DBZ Season sets in Australia already, so you shouldn't have a hard time finding it at Madman's site. As a fellow fan of the Japanese version, and a sympathizer of DBZ fans living in Australia, I'd say your best bet pretty much would be the DBZ Season Sets. I mean, ...

in response to mr. awesome (if that is your real name), I'd just go for the sets. Since you're a Japanese version fan, the Japanese audio track should keep you happy; and if I read right in previous threads, most of Madman's releases are uncut dub-only. Thanks, I might go pick it up on monday. As f...

As someone who can't afford the Dragonboxes (if I found one that is), these terrible Funi sets seem to be my only option. I own the first Ultimate Uncut box set, and apart from the saturation and how grainy the film was (also the price was ridiculous) I thought they were decent releases. I'm aware o...
