I didn't see anyone else remark on this, but I'm pretty sure from the sound of it that the first announcer that was talking about the prizes, was Toshio Furukawa(Piccolo). I didn't mention this in my inital post? *Looks* Guess not. Sorry, that was one of the first things I wanted to mention. "...

「おっす!オラ悟空!みんな、待たせたな。『IQミラー』で...オラと勝負だ」 "Ossu! Ora Goku! Minna, mataseta na. IQ Mirror de...ora to shoubu da!" "Hey! I'm Goku! Did I keep everyone waiting? I challenge you to [a game of] 'IQ Mirror'!" Meh, I'm so tired I can't even hear straight. (Wait, that makes no sense x__O) T...

No, that was just the fact that one side was mirrored and one side wasn't.

All in all, this was really cool. I can't believe that woman missed that really obvious question.

If you really want to sound pompous, add a "sama" or any other honorific at the end of "ore." Then, get ready to make a lot of your (Japanese speaking) friends hate you. :D

You will hear from Vegeta "Ore wa Vegeta." You will hear from Goku "Ora wa Goku" (and a lot if you watch the previews for the next episodes where he pops in announcing "Ossu! Ora wa Goku!") EDIT: I guess you can say that...Ora is a "made-up" word derived from ...

Wow, I forgot about the Garo and Ookami games. (Wow, that Garo game is looking pretty ass....)

I didn't hear any "grades" but they were going over the general overview of the game and its features. If there were any grades, I probably missed them by just randomly skipping around the video.

Oh, same thing on the ringing noises. Were those windchimes? Jingle bells? As explained above, it was one of the cats. End cat subject! :) Oy vey...I feel like a real idiot now. I should read the thread like I always do. Oh, the company that Viz merged with was Sho-Pro. That's why they're Viz...Med...

Journey to the West reenactment = <3

Great podcast. Nice to see you got to JulieYBM's email. It was kind of funny hearing the name being said.

Ah, as I suspected. For some reason I thought they were asking what it was instead of what it was doing there. Heh, silly me.

My favourite has to be the Nintendo DS cosplaying as the Dragon Radar hahaha... Heh, it looks like a Game and Watch and a Tiger Handheld's illegitimate love child. Oh man, I remember this movie. It was so cheesy I couldn't help but burst out in tears laughing. The moment I saw Goku's hair, I just c...

I loved this week's list. (Although, I was expecting the "You just wait 'till it grows back!" line, but that doesn't deal with death...just appendage decapitation.) I had almost forgot about Vegeta's "Too bad it wasn't Sunday" line. :D

Great work, everyone!

I caught wind of this about a year ago. The animation was surprisingly well done. And the story is completely different along with the characters. (However, they keep the same personalities. Bubbles is still ditzy, Buttercup is still the tomboy, Blossom is still the leader-type. However, it's a magi...

"Chi ku shou" is a word commonly used for "damn", and in most series that don't really care about mild language, they use it as so. But, I've seen it as "blast" and "darn." "Shimatta" is most of the time translated as "damn", but it's more...

I'm somewhat confused about the cursing. I mean, the people who learn japanese I know (who haven't watched these subs) say words such as 'kuso' are curses. The other animes I watch have the same words as curses... My french manga has the same words as curses... my japanese dictionaries have the sam...

Nope, that translation's perfectly fine. (In respects to the translator.) "危機一髪!!ガンバレ8ちゃん" (Kikiippatsu!! Ganbare Hachan) "Kikiippatsu"...well, to me, that would be like "girigiri" (it's what I link it together with, at least.) It's more like "Close call" (onl...
