Re: If Dr Gero had access to Beerus' cells, how strong would Cell have turned out?
Not really countering at all, but I mentioned before that in the mechanics of Power Creep, adding Beerus' cells wouldn't have mattered since SS2 is by default the thing that beats Cell. And at the same time, Buu would have been more powerful by the same measure. To use another example, if Beerus wa...

Re: If Dr Gero had access to Beerus' cells, how strong would Cell have turned out?
Still waiting for somebody to counter my point about the fact Beerus' cells added to Cell probably wouldn't matter very much, though. Re: If Dr Gero had access to Beerus' cells, how strong would Cell have turned out?
Beerus, you spend entire paragraphs saying "I agree with this statement." You have the highest post count of anyone...but 90% of it is utterly pointless because you're just saying you agree. Come on. Recognizing and building off of another person's discussion points stems from an attitude...

Re: If Dr Gero had access to Beerus' cells, how strong would Cell have turned out?
There is nothing yet to imply that Beerus' genetics are a factor in his current power. His species may be no more special than a Saiyan, of which we now have two so powerful that they are approaching the Gods of Destruction. Cell was mostly terrifying because he took the natural power of Freeza, add...

Now that this is already being blown out of proportion, I'm going to start hoping it's a feature-length Dragon Ball Heroes promotional film.

Re: Do you think the tournament filled with so many jobbers was a good idea?
I don't think you cannot easily apply DBZ power levels to Super. Transformations to Super seem to be symbolic and have no numbers. When a character transforms it is to make you realize he's getting serious, not that he is now 50/100/10000000 times stronger. It doesn't seem to work that way anymore....

Re: [THEORY] Vegeta was calm about UI Goku because he has already reached his limit.
Whis maintains about as much faith in Vegeta as a student as he does in Goku. It will be interesting to keep seeing how things unfold in both versions.

Re: Is Ultra Instinct 50x Stronger Than SSJB?
Considering it has nothing to do with the prior transformations, it is very doubtful that a straightforward figure like that will ever exist. It wouldn't make sense for the two to correspond.

Re: Best Fight Choreography Across the Series?
Since pretty much everything great has been mentioned, I'd love to mention the little fight between Trunks and Tenshinhan in movie 9. That whole movie had some of the more interesting bits of choreography the movies had to offer.
All time favorite selections are probably from movie 1.

I see what you did there.KidGoku>3 wrote:Goku and Beerus are such an awesome duo (no pun intended) too.
Also, agreed. If I remembered how I programmed my avatars, I would love to add Beerus to the line up.

Re: Does the franchise/fandom pre-2013 (pre Beerus and Super) now feel like a distant memory?
VegettoEX and Kunzait have both knocked it out of the ball park in terms of responding to this question, so I'll just add a couple cents to the dollar as best I can. Something that became very annoying before 2013 was seeing the same arguments pop up over and over generating massive threads of rage ...

Re: Ultra Instinct "Omen"
Loved it. Had nothing to do with being a Saiyan or a God or any previous bullshit. All about a warrior surpassing his limits. Transformation or technique doesn't matter to me. Goku was forced to better himself beyond all of that and it was amazing. The fact it wasn't good enough is even better, bec...

Re: What If There's No Explanation For Goku's New Form?
This was just plain wrong . They literally spend the majority of the Cell arch trying to "push beyond SSJ"! Future Trunks even says the exact wording when he spars with Goku in Super and describes SSJ2. "A Saiyan who has pushed beyond the limits of Super Saiyan" This was its des...

Re: If a Dragon Ball anime were made today, would the first arc be rewritten?
Probably. Dragon Ball launched with a completely different audience than it faces today. The story doesn't really hit proper stride until Kame'sen'nin starts training Goku & Kuririn...which is still mired in "lure an exaggeratedly bi-polar woman into a sexually threatening situation with tw...

Re: What If There's No Explanation For Goku's New Form?
It had build up and an explanation though 1) New transformation has had build-up. 2) No there was not. The only explanation was GOHAN MAD. Much later it was shown that it was an actual evolution of Super Saiyan that Goku/Vegeta/Trunks can do as well. Super Saiyan God is by far the most "explai...

Re: Freeza's development
Initially, I was upset to see Freeza being brought back once more for this arc. Horse seemed dead enough. Reality: Freeza has never been better than how he is in this arc, in terms of character. He will never become a good guy, but this specific situation has brought out the best beyond anybody coul...

Re: Does anyone find movie 13 under-appreciated?
Maybe this has become the case in recent years, but my initial thought when I read the title thread was a resound "No." It's generally held as being one of the best. It just doesn't have as memorable a villain as many others, which it makes up for in spades with an original protagonist.
