Re: Theory of Ultra Instinct using Science

I've been thinking about your explanation, and I've decided that I disagree. First of all, let me make sure I am understanding you right. You're saying that no matter what, stimuli has to be received through the senses, and the senses have to transmit that to the brain, before the brain can send me...

Re: Theory of Ultra Instinct using Science

Well, the exact science likely doesn't follow that exactly, going for the more mystical interpretation of it. In line with my previous comment, it could be that one's Ki is the thing moving their body, thus removing even the little caveat you yourself just highlighted. In a sense, the muscle DOES h...

Re: Theory of Ultra Instinct using Science

In short; don't think, just do. A bit of an oversimplification, but yeah. You get your body use to doing the movements for the techniques to where it becomes as natural as breathing. Well, the point of my explanation is that you're still thinking. You can't just eliminate thinking altogether; it's ...

Re: Theory of Ultra Instinct using Science

I made a thread for discussing this on the Super board. I think we can add just a tad bit more to this. Whis not only taught them this, but ALSO to control their Ki and prevent it from seeping out of their bodies and raise it when attacking. Everyone's Ki is unique to them; one can even tell one's ...

Re: Theory of Ultra Instinct using Science

Its basically Bruce Lee's theory of self movement in combat. You train your body to react but not think and in the process you just either "expand" or "contract" when your opponent performs vice-versa, sometimes in a completely unexpected manner. Its a staple of martial arts tha...

Theory of Ultra Instinct using Science

The first explanation of Migatte no Gokui aka Ultra Instinct came from Whis in three different sources - Episode 18 of the anime, Chapter 2 of the Revival of F (RoF) manga, and the RoF movie. https://i.imgur.com/ZXvt0ui.png https://i.imgur.com/W8mydPo.png https://i.imgur.com/hKRWCzX.png https://i.im...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

Okay, I can’t quite tell if you’re agreeing with me or not, so I’ll just explain my position again. You are saying that you do not buy the idea of a Grade 0 that is less than x50. I agree. You are saying that we know Goku went from 3 million to 150 million, showing that the SSJ he had on Namek was ...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

While it is similar and obviously fan service to Broly, the scaling for the two transformations are depicted as drastically different. Berserk Kale has been shown to be much stronger than LSSJ Broly ever was. There are many differences such as Kale being able to control her Berserk state as well. I...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

Does it really matter that Broly is not "canon"? the transformation is exactly the same for Broly and Kale so why would you think its not the same? Yea it matters, because information on things non-canon can be different from what Akira Toriyama wants. Things like the Episode of Bardock f...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

I dom't SSJ2 needs to be stronget than Grade 3. Grade 3 is known for having a considerable boost in power that is nullified by the loss of speed, after all. Considering Grade 3 Trunks was considrably stronger than a Cell who tanked Grade 2 Vegeta's kick on the head, i'd say the boost is fairly larg...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

I'll agree with Android 15 > 14. As for Krillin > Tien, that may have been true at some point, but I think it no longer applies. In the Cell Saga, Tien held off Semi-Perfect Cell using Kihoho. That's the only reason that he's above Krillin. In the Buu saga, Tien deflected a blast from Buu to save G...

Re: Can the Dragon Balls unlock one's potential?

Nah, I don't think so.. Go back and rewatch episode 91. It's clear that Goku was going to let Elder Kaioshin unlock his potential(he was actually excited about it) -- but the ritual takes 25 hours to complete, and they no longer had that much time before the ToP began. That's the *only* reason it d...

Re: Can the Dragon Balls unlock one's potential?

He wants to train himself to get stronger with no shortcut methods. I agree for the most part, but in DBS ep. 91, Elder Kaioshin mentions that he could unlock Goku's power/potential and bring him past his current limits(like he did with Gohan.) Ultimately, the plan never got off the ground because ...

Re: Log Power Scaling

I’m not saying Goku got weaker on Yardrat. I’m saying that he multitasked on Yardrat. We know he both learned Instant Transmission and how to consciously use SSJ before he came back to Earth. So if he can do those two things, he can do a third as well, namely, get stronger in base. I.e., if he goes...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

Just saw the update, it's better than before, and yeah I agree that the use of power levels can be quite tedious, I also suffered with them in the past, though I managed to have a complete list of them. Though two things worth mentioning is that Android 15 should be stronger than Android 14 since t...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

I've updated. Removed all power levels from DBZ sagas as they are too subjective. Adding gap multipliers makes things worse. Instead, I've decided to rank characters in different times of the series based on feats and knowledge. We can only objectively compare them rather than quantify them. Also ad...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

I really appreciate the time and thought that went into this thread’s main topic, but I wanted to just interject my own take on the whole “Grades” conversation happening right now, and see whether it helps or not. Have either of you considered the possibility of a downgrade between Namek and Yardra...

Re: Log Power Scaling - A Different Approach

Vegeta was surprised because Goku was simply stronger than him. Goku with a normal SSJ multipler for the FPSSJ is already stronger than ASSJ Vegeta with just half of his power. Vegeta's base was just much weaker than Goku's base, and by a lot. You also have to be aware of the gap between FPSSJ and ...
