Re: DB could work as Cartoon Series?
He did writing for the worst season of Voltron Legendary Defender which is saying something about how incompetent he is at writing. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Voltron:_Legendary_Defender_episodes Didn't know that! I've been meaning to watch Netflix Voltron but haven't gotten around to it...

Re: DB could work as Cartoon Series?
I love you Gaffer Tape but I thought you of ALL people would know better than to just put a franchise into some overrated writers hands and expect quality. Sure, Ben 10 had the late Dwayne McDuffie who had the herculean task of making Ben 10 more mature and palatable and ACTUALLY SUCCEEDING, creati...

Re: DB could work as Cartoon Series?
If it were done by the same people behind Avatar or Ben 10, yeah, I think so. It would actually be better, story-wise speaking. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! Oh you were serious... Let me laugh harder. HAHAAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAH I've heard worse ideas, certain people who worked on Avatar co...

Re: Is this Toriyama Signature legit?
I've always wondered, are there even any autograph authentication services in Japan like there are in America? I know PSA has an office in Japan, but I think that's mainly just for grading trading cards. I'd be interested to know about cel/genga/douga authentication as well. Obviously forgeries are ...

Re: Differences in FUNimation's movie dub(s)
I'm not aware of every single change between the single releases and the double features, but one notable change in Cooler's Revenge involves how the music is mixed during Cooler and Goku's fight. On the single release, the music is shifted down and warped slightly when Cooler and Goku are fighting ...

Re: Characters you like but everyone else hates
I never really got the hate for Uub, I think he's cute and the idea of Pure Buu being reincarnated into the form of a human boy is something I'm still waiting to see expounded upon in a satisfying way. Here's hoping for post-Z content from Toriyama at some point. I suppose I should also point out th...

Re: Why were 4:3 AR screenshots used on the Orange Bricks?
This line of releases is rife with false advertising, what's it matter if the screenshots on the slip cover don't accurately represent the product either?

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
They point of Kulilin's name is that it has "kuri/kuli" in it. The Japanese word for "chestnut". They all ruin the pun in the same way by misunderstanding the katakanas. I think maybe you don't realize that Funimation DID change "Bra" to "Bulla"... I don't se...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
If you’re fine with Krillin , then you’d be fine with Bulla , rite? And her brother Tollanks ? And their grandpa Dr Bullif . You know, for consistency. How are these examples anything Ilike Krillin? I agree that Bulla and Bullif would both be ridiculous in place of Bra and Brief, two recognizable E...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Should we try a do a same clip of what kind of DNR (using the levels since thats what they have) to so show FUNi what we think the set should look like? Cause it we can do it at home lol I really liked how Corpsecreate's project was coming along. Great colors with subtle, non-destructive filters. E...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Krillin wouldn't be that bad, it's just a different romanization. Things like Tien Shinhan, Master Roshi, King Kai, Special Beam Cannon etc. would be totally fucking unacceptable.SuperSaiyaManZ94 wrote: ↑Sun Apr 14, 2019 10:17 pmYeah, for instance like having Krillin in the subtitles instead of Kuririn or Tien Shinhan over Tenshinhan.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
For anyone hoping that the footage in the trailer might not be a reflection of the final product, I seriously wouldn't get your hopes up... This would be the first time in US franchise history that a DBZ promo or trailer didn't at least tangentially resemble what we would end up getting later. The o...

If the trailer is representative of the final product, what a shame. Pretty much 0% interest from me now unless more technical info is laid out.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Thank you for the much more lengthy explanation! I really only meant to answer Scsigs' question in reference to crushed blacks in the Level sets, which I don't think were necessarily intentional and more a consequence of the prints used. I'm aware that it's also a stylistic technique often used int...
