Re: What are Toriyama mistakes
In BoG and DBS Super Broly movie, Shenron only grants 1 wish, even though Shenron got upgraded so he can grant 2 or 3 wishes. In Battle of Gods, you could say that Shen Long never actually granted a wish (only answered a question) and left due to being afraid of Beerus. I admit that's a stretch, ho...

Re: Will we see a Latin American Kai redub before its streamed?
With the constant delays of the HBO Max stream in Latin America (it was supposed to be on the service in July and then on the 12th of this month only to end in crickets), I'm starting to wonder if a redub is the reason why. I'd also buy the WBD merger being the main cause.

Re: Do you want a Tournament of Power II?
Not really. While the ToP had some really cool moments, I think I'm all tournament-ed out after it. Give me more bad guys causing trouble. More twists and turns. Character drama, weird new planets or mystical realms. Not placing a bunch of folks in a ring and saying, "Okay, now fight for a hund...

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" Series Official Announcement & Discussion Thread
A Kai version of the original Dragon Ball Series would be a dream come true, but that will never happen.... I was actually thinking something similar. Mark my words, the web series will be Dragon Ball Kai Shonen-hen. (If this actually happens and we consequently get a for real redub of the original...

Re: Dragon Ball Kai not streaming anywhere?
You know what's funny? In some Asian territories (at least Malaysia and Indonesia), Dragon Ball Z Kai and the Final Chapters are currently streaming in WeTV (you probably do need a VPN for SEA regions to see this though). This is from the Indonesia Facebook post: https://www.facebook.com/wetvindone...

Re: Is Dragon Ball the biggest manga/anime series globally?
Anime/manga specific franchise? Absolutely. The Pokémon anime was probably bigger when the big boom happened, but I don't think the anime has retained/grown its audience the same way the DB anime has. Still, the Pokémon brand as a whole is overall more successful and recognizable than DB; I just thi...

Dragon Ball Z Subtitled in Japanese Uploaded to Crunchyroll and VRV
All the episodes have been uploaded to Crunchyroll and VRV in several English-speaking territories (sadly the UK and other territories are left out). The video is exactly the same as what was already on Funimation's service for the Japanese version: Dragon BOX footage, but stretched to widescreen fo...

Re: Crunchyroll Purchases The Right Stuf International
Is is wild how many of the 90s/2000s anime licensing companies are gone. Is Viz Media the only one left? Media Blasters is still alive, having been formed in 1997. Some. How. Viz Media was founded in 1986, so that even manages to qualify for 1980s status! Hey, anyone remember Central Park Media? Or...

Oh, great. More corporate assimilation taking control of my favorite hobbies. I don't like it, but I can't say I'm shocked.
Fuck corporations.

Re: Only up to Episode 46 I think the issue here lies less in the content of the Trunks arc and more in the fact that there's seemingly no edited audio masters available after Episode 52; after that episode, Pop just kinda started awkwardly editing around the cursing and even left direct references ...

Re: How do you Feel About the Pacing of each Show?
Dragon Ball - generally moves at a pretty good pace, especially in the early arcs, but there is the occasional episode that feels a tiny bit slow. Overall it's pretty good, though. Dragon Ball Z - SOOOOOO SLOOOOOW. I still really enjoy the show, but God do I feel the padding here. Even when cutting ...

Re: Where and how do you read Dragonball?
I don't love reading manga digitally, so I bought the VizBigs for my first readthrough of the original series and did the same for whatever was out physically for Super (I think it was either mid-ToP or the beginning of Moro at the time). I put up with the digital chapters once I finished everything...

Re: Future Trunks’ Sexual Orientation
Though I don't think the scene OP referenced really indicates anything either way in the original or the dub, I'd be perfectly okay with Trunks being bi or pan. If that's the read you get from him, have at it. I just don't think he's only into guys due to Mai, but Trunks being bi/pan is definitely p...

Bull**** Fighter, the Sequel Trilogy to the 1990 Dragon Ball Korean Live-Action Film
So I was on Twitter today and saw Goku was trending. I'm pretty sure I've heard of the guy before, so I decided to see what people were tweeting about him. Well, that was when I happened upon this tweet from one Carlos Palencia talking about the THREE sequels to 1990's live action Korean adaptation ...

Re: On May 9, my grandmother passed away. She loved little Son Goku.
I'm so sorry for your loss, but I'm also glad you were able to share the series with someone you loved so dearly. I actually very much relate to your story. I got to share the show with my late aunt who died years ago due to cancer. She used to watch the Nicktoons broadcast of Kai with me and would ...

Re: WIth the success of the Sonic movie, is it time for Hollywood to revisit Dragon Ball?
If you want something more modern, here's the Journey to the West movies done by Stephen Chow, which are suitably zany and are also martial arts fantasy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-sX1cqyLyrU You know, I really liked that first movie (need to see the second) and I'm kicking myself now for not...

Re: WIth the success of the Sonic movie, is it time for Hollywood to revisit Dragon Ball?
I feel like anyone who thinks that DB CAN'T work in live action lacks imagination. I agree that DB doesn't NEED to be in live action, though. But if it got another chance? I'd give it a look, especially if they did something like Kung Fu Hustle or the incredibly underrated DB Runaways fan series. Ed...

Hey, everyone! I know it's been a long time since I posted this project, but I wanted to let you know that I did updated versions of 17 episodes! You can find them in the same MEGA folder as the opening post. I made V2s for the following: 8 27-32 34-36 38 45 48 55 57 59 61 The main goal of these V2s...

Re: Variety - "Crunchyroll Is Adding All Funimation Anime Content, Sony Starts to Phase Out Funimation Brand"
So, I just realized that I had a grandfathered account where I get Funimation Premium Plus for $59.99/year. And that was renewed in July, so I'm losing a few months. And so, I checked out Crunchyroll's prices. Long story short: I'm not getting that. I rarely used Funimation and kept it around becau...
