Re: DBZKai comes to the UK
In this day and age what channel it's is fairly irrelevant (see how we were able to follow Kai's original airing live in Japan fairly painlessly if you wanted) Don't make the mistake of assuming that we are the majority fanbase. Kix aren't going to be ignoring the adult fans, but they aren't their ...

Re: DBZKai comes to the UK
The only thing that shocks me is the response of the fanbase, DBZ Kai finally comes to the UK, and unlike the previous DBZ series is on a FREE channel, unlike when the DBZ series was on Turner's channels which are part of a pay TV package, and the response of the fans is to whinge and moan. I mean,...

Re: Favourite Akira Toriyama Art Style
Another vote for here for the pseudo-realistic Cell arc style with the 23rd Tenkaichi Budokai period art style coming behind it.

The whole confrontation of Majin Vegeta trying to convince Goku to fight him in the Tenkaichi Budokai ring. It was just awesome drama.

Re: DBZKai comes to the UK
Disappointed that is seems likely we're not getting the Ocean dub of Kai. I've never really had a big interest in Kai in any form, the only thing that had me a little interested was the new score, but then the Yamamoto scandal put a stop to that. However the majority of my initial exposure and viewi...

Re: Unofficial New DB Series Dragonball Absalon Episode 1
Along with Runaways, this is another fan project I can get on board with, I like what I've seen so far. It's obviously rough around the edges, but I will be keeping up with this. It's amazing the clear amount of effort that are going into some of these fan projects.

Re: Live Action Dragon Ball Web Series - "Runaways"
I liked it. As a grounded, more reality-based adaptation of DB, it works. In the long run, it would be nice if it injects some of DB's trademark fun into it, but all in all I'm definitely interested in following how this progresses.

Re: Budokai Tenkaichi 2 Music
Loved the track Go Ahead from BT2: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lyrQsxn5_Mo Fitted perfectly during battle, and was just a generally great hype up track. EDIT This is from BT3, but Shine was just a great mushy happy-go lucky track that captures DB's Shonen spirit as well as any other DB rela...

Re: Is Sparking Meteor/Budokai Tenkaichi 3 Overrated ?
It's been quite a while since I've last had a spin on it, but I haven't played a DBZ game on the PS3 that I've felt played better than it, so in that sense, it holds up.
Sure it's repetitive, but (with the exception of maybe Legendary Super Warriors) I haven't played a DB fighting game that isn't.

Re: How would you rather see (Buu era) Teen Gohan?
Also something about his personality was off. I can't put my finger on it but he felt like a different character to his kid self rather than an evolution. I guess the time skip is mostly to blame for that though. Yeah, I've always felt like that about Gohan too. I've always put it down to if you go...

Really interesting thread, great job Cold Skin.
Like others, I really like the updated colours for Kid Goku's, Teen Gohan's training and Future Trunks' outfits.

Re: Gohan goes SSJ 2 with new music!
It fits almost perfectly in terms of timing and I quite like the track itself but it just doesn't really fit the mood of the scene appropriately.
Overall though, it's a nice experiment.

Re: What is your head canon?
Goku and Vegeta are actually distant relatives and that they're descendants of the original Super Saiyan from 1000 years prior which is why both of them and their own descendants are able to make the Super Saiyan transformation.

Re: Getting to Know Fellow Kanzenshuu-ers
1. Favourite Hero? Gohan. A combination of being a recipient of a number of shining moments of awesomeness and maybe apart from Krillin, being the most relatable character in the series. And I've found his growth both as a character and physically really interesting throughout. 2. Favourite Villian...

Well I can only speak for myself, but in a throwaway fun thread posting meme images (sorry I didn't research the people's ideal definition of a meme...), I just posted "memes" that I thought were fun and somewhat rung true to me personally. And *gasp* Dragon Ball is a positive memory for m...
