Does it personally offend you that I posted the name of a fansub group? And Jesus Christ, please hop off the guy's dick... Does it matter? This is Mike's forum, and if he does not like something, his word is final . End of story. Everyone needs to follow the rules set down here, myself included, an...

EDIT: Whatever. There's no point in me bitching. A simple edit of my post without the snide comment would have sufficed, don't you think? Highly off topic, but it must be said. This is Mike's forum, where he manages it as he sees fit; I think that as a member [guest] in his forum [house], you shoul...

Word. I'm all about discussing the DragonBox. Let me just reinitiate the conversation with a quick question. For those of you that have purchased the Box(lucky), has it not met, reached, or exceeded your expectations? First, I'll pose you a question: Where is the luck involved in deciding to spend ...

For me, it doesn't get any better than this: Ian Corlett as Son Goku, Scott McNeill as Piccolo, and Brian Drummond as Vegeta. As much as I have a soft spot for the dub as it stands now, I just like how these guys did it; and, also, Chris Sabat doing so many peoples voices kind of wears away at me a ...

Well, DBW, you've successfully taken every good bit of audio related praise I could have offered this release, and summed it up more eloquently than I probably would have. I whole heartedly agree with your response, as far as possible, with only one slight derivation on the point: I don't mind the P...

Yeah, but the battles in the Matrix for example, are done with that in mind, the safety of the planet that is, yet they are enjoyable and impressive to the eye. I think that the flurry of punches and kicks is a nice touch, as long as there are slow close-ups of the hits that actually damage the opp...

The fights in the series became more and more lame as the series went on. They went from a highly-choreographed style where you would actually be able to see every punch and kick (in Dragonball), to a 2-frame cop out, where the opponents would just be floating in the air with their arms and legs fl...

This can be simplified to group perspective. It was once cool to enjoy this show, but when Naruto came around, it became cool to hate it and enjoy Naruto; then, as is the trend, Naruto was replaced by Bleach. This sort of hierarchy is prevelant in American perceptions of anime. It becomes crap, and ...

Oh, right on man. Thanks for the heads up. :) Lastly, I'd just like to say that Iam now happy that I bought this DVD set. I'm sure everyone knows by now how superior in quality these Dragon Boxes are to the FUNimation releases. If this turns out to be what I'm hoping for, then I will for sure get v...

You say you're sad that you missed it. So....are you saying that the Dragon Ball Dragon Boxes are already out of production or something? Or that you just didn't have the money at the time? Yes, they [like the movie box, and every other DragonBox] were a limited time, pre-order only deal [Although ...

Actually, from what I've seen, not really. Lol. Further, they were never released in "parts", they were one $800.00 bundle. That's actually a waste, considering you could have purchased the Funimation DVDs, and had probably the same quality, with GOOD subtitles, and a better investment all...

By the by, GKWorld is a KNOWN bootlegging website, and most of their DragonBall inventory IS bootleg, hell they've even got some fake products too.

I'm curious about the Dragonbook. What does it have in it? It's basicly a rundown of the movies, and other things; it has a page about Hironobu Kageyama, but since I do not read Japanese in any efficient sense, I can't really tell you much more. Although, the pages about the films have each films p...

Since you're posting them here to be seen, and likely to recieve feedback, I will tell you my thoughts. There's only one tactic that stands out in my mind as impressive, and Kaze no Mune mentioned it. Son Goku performing the KameHameHa Wave from his feet to gain back some ground. I personally consider this tactic impressive, because as the series progressed, especially from Z onward, the show became l...

Re: Official "Dragon Box: The Movies" Thread

Also, it's quite a pain in the ass trying to edit the Dragon Box screenshots to match the FUNi ones. >__> Those sound like fighten' words, mister! XD In all seriousness, it kind of sounds like a lack of image editing experience, I mean, it can't be that hard to superficially line two images togethe...

That DVD player isn't even worthy of these discs. Hell, if I was to go all out and spend the amount to get the DragonBox, might as well get a heck of a good dvd player to show off the goods. Neither is my Cyberhome CH-DVD300 unit, but sometimes we don't have 'worthy' players just lying around, and ...

About the picture quality compared to Funimation's releases... Is it about the same overall quality difference between the other Dragonboxes and their respective Funi releases, or is there less/more of a difference? I realize that this will probably be on the feature, but if someone can give a brie...
