He was there before anyone else. He was there before Toei Animation, Masako Nozawa, Hiromi Tsuru and Joji Yanami. He was there before Funimation, Ron Wasserman, Bruce Faulconer,Ocean, Scott Mcneil.
And now he isnt anymore.

Re: Dragon Ball Super is FINALLY being streamed.
I... think it would help clarify that this is about the English dub specifically, since the original Japanese version has been up and streaming since the simulcast began back in 2016 . (And this same English dub was previously available on FUNimation's own streaming service, which has since been sh...

Thanks to Dragon Ball Ireland I realized OG Dragon Ball is airing on a block in Paraguay, Franja Animada... which means "Animated Block". LOL.

Re: Actual Celebrities doing dubbing on Dragon Ball (Star Talents)
I was under the impression that anyone (i.e. Hellspawn28) who criticizes anyone for questioning the COVID vaccines (i.e. Reuben Langdon) loves Bill Gates, and listens to everything he says. Yes. You got us. We are the evil scum that thinks Bill Gates can absolutely do no wrong and is only second to...

Re: Actual Celebrities doing dubbing on Dragon Ball (Star Talents)
Reuben Langdon's career is over because he is a total nutjob by posting fake news about Vaccines and believes that the MeToo moment is created by both women and men to get easy money by ruining someone's career (He thinks people like Vic Mignogna and Harvey Weinstein are innocent people that got th...

Re: Did Trunks' maternal grandparents (Bulma's parents) die in EOZ?
Never noticed this before, so there are no scenes of Bra and her grandparents? aside of DBS that is. In GT, Trunks is president, Dr. Briefs is at least retired. If GT happens 10 years after EoZ, then Briefs is definitely dead, but it's 5... so he could still be alive. The MCs are in their 50s and 6...

Re: Your watching experience on Toonami
Toonami didn't shape my personal fandom in any way, but it certainly shaped the general fandom at the time, and it was impossible to ignore its reach and impact. As a quick recap, I got into the series with the second DBZ episode in syndication, so we're talking late September 1996 here. I started ...

Much like AB VIdeo, the channel that airs DBZ Kai is a proud licensee for Toei.

Re: DBZ's TV Ratings reign is over.
I think MeTV could still pull it off and they are going to do an animation channel, but cable is dead. You might as well suggest Dragon Ball air on Lifetime Now showing on Lifetime, the story of Bulma, victim of vile cheater Yamcha, finds herself a new man worthy of her! Just Saiyan: The Story Of B...

Re: AB Video to release original Dragon Ball on Blu-Ray
I forgot to give DBI context, but that's the Toei Animation Europe website on OG Dragon Ball. Which confirms they are a loud and proud licensee and that Toei loves working with them.

Re: DBZ's TV Ratings reign is over.
I think MeTV could still pull it off and they are going to do an animation channel, but cable is dead. Again, Dragon Ball still doesn't fit with a channel that caters to baby boomer nostalgia. The anime that would make sense to air there would be more along the lines of Kimba and Speed Racer and As...

DBZ's TV Ratings reign is over.
After seemingly being unstoppable no matter what, getting good ratings no matter where it was aired, last week's Toonami airings ABSOLUTELY TANKED. These have to be the worst ratings the franchise has ever gotten. I think MeTV could still pull it off and they are going to do an animation channel, bu...

Re: Was Dragon Ball syndicated in any non-US territories?
I dont think the concept of Syndication exists outside the USA. In most countries, All Network affiliates just air a solid schedule that is decided by the network and not left up to the affiliates themselves. There DID come a Point where a single Affiliate was so popular in Paraguay they became a wh...

Re: Your watching experience on Toonami
I may find Toonami hideously overrated, but GOD ITS RATINGS WERE AWESOME. And they SURE knew how to advertise a show. Only Nickelodeon built an empire solely on the quality of its advertising.

I have something to give hope to the situation. Toei Animation Europe proudly boasts about AB Groupe as a licensee. If they were crossed or angry at them they would not do that.

Re: Non-thread-worthy discussions
Something Masenko Ha said has me thinking, Saban kept the halos unedited, but the "Other Dimension" thing conveniently removed theHeaven/Hell/Afterlife element, and since The CW (Much easier than saying 4kids/Saban Brands)dub used Other World and thus they felt the need to make clear to th...
