Though you said you were playing devil's advocate, I do agree with what you said about dub fans at one point in the episode, Mike. I think hardcore Dragon Ball fans who prefer the English dub such as myself have also gone through a lot of crap over the years when it comes to the DVD releases of Z an...

I think the English dub is good, really good. Dragon Ball Z doesn't remain my favorite show and the story as a whole doesn't remain among my favorites because the dialogue and voice actors are awful. I think the English script is well written and I think the voice actors do a damn good job. There ar...

Seriously......like, wow. I could not be more happy with my obsessive stubbornness as a fan to not purchase the DBZ season sets and go after the rest of the singles. Hell with this news I might not even buy the Dragon Ball season sets. With my single disc collection nearing completion, I'll have the...

YEEEEESSSSSS!!!!!!!!!! Full screen, I am so happy. The first 13 are some of my favorite episodes of all three series and watching my vhs recording of the Toonami run got old a long time ago. My brother isn't a DB fan, but he loves these episodes too, I'm looking forward to watching them together in ...

Man I really hope this rumor is true. I'd love for them to try again and produce something reminiscent of Dragon Ball. Shoot I'll send in scripts for a trilogy if they want me to, I've always had a vision for it. I seriously think that with it's huge well of story, Dragon Ball or Z could shine cinem...

The Piccolo Jr. sets should definitely be creating some dog piles. The Fortune Teller Baba set isn't as rare though.

I can never find the VIZ Sandland graphic novel in stores. Does anybody know if it's out of print? It's in print. EDIT: The Borders link stretches the page half a mile, let me grab the BnN one. I even checked the zip code thing for my own local stores and quite a few had it in stock. Here's Barnes ...

This episode looked great, especially the hand-to-hand scenes. If the Raditz vs Goku and Piccolo fight looks this smooth I can't wait for later ones. I don't know if the makankosappo was tweaked at all but it looked really good as well. I kinda had mixed feelings when the "Dragon Soul" the...

Thanks you two, I was up late Sunday night with absolutely nothing to do, so I was happy to see you went ahead and uploaded it during the late hours so I could give it a listen while trying to get tired. I enjoyed the Kai review, you guys mentioned the pools of blood. I have a quick question for any...

That attack is actually the Makosen ("Demon Beam"), which is similiary named to the Masenko (it's the exact same kanji in a different order), but still a different attack. That's interesting, I thing in the English dub Piccolo yells that name when he fires his big blast at Imperfect Cell ...

Yeah, the original villain took a lot from TMB, but Piccolo didn't add a lot to Evolution, we didn't even get a fleshed out back story or any kinds of motives, plus he was in the movie for such a short amount of time. The villain in TMB still seemed more Dragon Ball to me than DBE's Piccolo, and the...

The fact that Evolution tried to properly use an already existing villain from the manga and still ended up failing doesn't give points to The Magic Begins, but just denotes Evolution further.

The Magic Begins, although it used different names, still seemed like some kind of Dragon Ball, or at least a bad attempt at mimicking Dragon Ball. It will be remembered because people will be able to compare and contrast it with the anime, no matter how ridiculous some parts are. Dragon Ball Evolut...

Ullgh!! I'm fresh out. Saw a 10:20 P.M. showing, so there were no kiddies which was nice...in fact, I was the only one in the auditorium! A couple of people came in a little later, I'm guessing for a private place to talk. Anyway, yeah, it was as bad as I thought if not worse. Not just a bad Dragon ...

I have some more thoughts after re-watching in HD. I was able to notice just how much the sound and music has shifted. Unlike the picture which is an improvement, the audio is an alternative to the original. It's more big and cinematic (i.e. right after Raditz flies away from Piccolo), and like some...

This has got to be my favorite tidbit you've come up with. For the Masenko I'd put Piccolo for sure, he uses it a lot in the anime, but never with the same hand motion. If you're going to include GT, you might put in Uub for the Kamehameha, he never yells out the name but uses it against Bebi, so ma...

I'm very surprised to announce that I downloaded KeyHoleTV and found FujiTV! It's choppy on my connection at times but it looks great! I'd suggest it to anyone who's having trouble with TVAnts, my computer wouldn't download that one.
Ok, now I really can't wait 5 hours, ahhh!!
