Also something I noticed about the new Viz logo editions don't all have the same standards they put on DB. You know how the vol. 10 with the new logo edited Yamcha flipping off Tenshinhan out, well in a copy of YYH, they left in Kuwabara giving Yusuke the bird. That's kind of sad, IMO... I mean, no...

True story: I found out that my library has manga that you can take out. The first book that I saw was DragonBall vol. 4. So I picked it up, read through it and got up to Namu's fight against that woman. As you know, he is about to hit her and she pretends that she's afraid and lands a few cheap sh...

Weird it all is.
Yoda you are, yes?

On topic-uh... I hate edits. That is all I can say without bashing VIZ.

Not that; I'm talking more about the stock footage found int he anime; at one point in time on Namek, Krillin was wearing his kame uniform!

Dragonball animation/drawing goofs

Apparently, America and France aren't the only place that suffer from stock footage and goofs! (I'm looking at YOU Code Lyoko...)

More series based on Journey to the West!

Yup, apparently Journey to the West is a popular thing to copy in Japan.

Thoughts?? Sorry if this is common knowledge (spell?) or not dragonball-pertaining enough for this forum.

Did anyone notice how the gain seems to be selective, IE it varies from shot to shot?

Turn to about 55 secs on the timer, it's the only video found searching her name in Japanese.
Damn, she's good at pleasing a crowd.

This may be common knowledge, but if you switch from the Japanese credits to the English ones the camera angle sligthly shifts over and the colors darken! I want to see if it does that with the rest of the episodes too.

I'm no fan of widescreen, but it looks A LOT better than the screenshots make it out to be. It's the embarassing remastering and the volume problems that bug me so far; now I see why people are Jap purists. *hadn't seen the japanese version prior*

Oops! -goes to check it-

Back on topic, the video clips that were put on the fourms awhile back don't show how much the voices overpower the music. It is a thousand times worse on the TV; I had to switch to the Japanese version, I missed the music so much.

So far, I've seen most of episode 2 and part of 1 (I skimmed.) And, low and behold, I found that scene with the Tear! Guess what, I didn't see it! Are my eyes that bad that I can't make out a huge tear in a frame-by-frame video? However, there still IS shaking and white blotches (small but noticable...

I'm aware of that. Let me try to rephrase that: had FUNi gone through CN from the beginning like they did after the split from Saban, than either we'd have the Ocean cast still or have had the in-house one from the beginning and we wouldn't have the fights over and over about who's better.

While louder music is a good thing, I think you should try to balance it a bit better. I can barely hear the voices on my laptop.

Honestly, Saban takes the cake for me. With DB, without their help they used Ocean; so, I'd bet they would've gone for Ocean even without Saban. And, if it were not for them, FUNi would've gone through CN for edits like the did once they did in-house acting. Honestly, were it not for Saban, I'd bet ...

A very good point there!
All of what I've seen is of DB is really good, so I'd have to go with it's all there and none of it should've been skipped.
