Re: Vic Mignogna
Personally, I kind of hope they’d just leave DBS Broly’s lines in Japanese. Why go through the trouble of hiring a new voice actor for a DLC in a two year old video game? Hell, FUNimation already pissed off a bunch of former dub fans by firing Vic Mignogna in the first place, so most people will ju...

Re: DragonBall Z Abridged
Seems the Buu arc is gonna be done in the ShortZ style instead of using the original animation.
I dunno about you guys, but I'm down. The possibilities for what we could see are limitless now.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
What the hell happened to Nathan Johnson's music in this set? The recap is now using Mark Menza from GT. Apparently the Recap music used from the UUEs and the Orange Bricks aren't in this one? So instead of this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2bfHw1Jf07Q It's using one I can't even find...

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
Weird thing is not all my DVDs do that. For example, Viz's Sailor Moon release has the black bars when playing the episodes, but only on the first set. Also, a couple really old DVDs, but that's to be expected, I guess.

Re: Funimations 30th anniversary collectible home video release
After seeing all the horror stories about scratched discs on here, I decided to assess all 37 discs in my set. Fortunately only found one minute scratch on one of the discs. Guess I was lucky, but I still feel horrible for anyone who bought this fair and square like me and then opened it and found ...

Honestly not surprised to see a correlation between Omari fans and incels. Those just hurt to read.

Goku's fight with Buyon. He destroys the tower wall in order to freeze and destroy him without his Kamehamehas bouncing off.

Re: Vic Mignogna
So now all that money those basement dwellers, who spend their lives wacking it to YellowFlash2's anti-SJW rants, donated to Vic is going to the very people they hate the most. And regarding Vic's appeal, we need a new word for this kind of screwing yourself over. It's way past ascended at thi...

Re: The Funimation Path To Power Credits
Oh, sorry, didn't mean for it to come out that way. I believed you, I just figured you had ended up with a bootleg or something. Learned something new, I guess. Since we're on the topic, any similar differences in the other movies' remastered editions, or is this the only one where they changed it l...

Re: The Funimation Path To Power Credits
What are you talking about? I have the DVD and they (admittedly rather uncharacteristically) left the end credits as is in Japanese, much like in Mystical Adventure. The only movies where they did the screen crunching thing you speak of are Tree of Might, Lord Slug, and Wrath of the Dragon.

Re: "Dragon Ball Super" FUNimation Dub Official Discussion Thread
So long as they never get the guy who did Cell in Kai TFC ever again I'll be content. They could've just reused Dameon's line from Z if they really couldn't be fucked to bring him back for TFC. That's one of the most baffling dub decisions they've ever made. With the exception of the Cell Games Ree...

Re: Vic Mignogna
Welp, guess DBS will not have Broly back again. Bin Shimada isn't going anywhere, and Shueisha/Toei don't base their character inclusions on their own cast anyway, nevermind some other country's dub cast. The bigger is, with Funimation unlikely wanting to used Vic, will they have to remove all ment...

Re: What specifically was wrong with Vic Mignogna’s take on Broly?
I don’t recall there being anything “wrong” with it, per se. My issue is how many fans nut over his performance when it’s nothing special and literally any moderately deep voice male voice actor who could read lines with bare minimum convention could do just as well. THIS. So much this. Even compar...

Re: Dragon Ball Z "Composer" Shuky Levy accused of attempted murder by Sarah Brown
Apparntly, a track from The Empire Strikes Back was copied and used in an old sci-fi anime called Ulysses 31. While Levy himself apparently didn't "compose" the track in question, he and the rest at Saban were definitely involved in the show. Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaand it turns out Shuki Levy stole...

People can come back from abuse, but not from the dead. It goes without saying that murder is worse.

^Unknown to Dragon Ball fans, but still a big name for animation nonetheless. I can't see this not getting noticed. The only people who would defend this are those who'd claim it's all fabricated.

This guy makes Vic Mignogna, Scott Freeman, and Illich Guardiola look like saints by comparison.
