Do you have saibaman? If so, find a Yamcha at the correct level and self destruct on him. Yamcha will automatically die like in the show and you'll auto win. Just repeat that for a while and he'll eventually break in.

It's possible Cell would come around, after all he was only programed to become perfect, but he'd absorbed #18, and I'm sure Kuririn wouldn't be happy around him if he stayed perfect.
