Interesting listen. I agree 5 gets a bad reputation when it doesn't deserve too. Part B in that episode was fine. On the flipside something like Yamamuro's polish in 39 makes everyone forget about the mediocre that came before and follows, like immediately after Goku goes KK and starts punching Hit...

To sort of bring things back on topic here, Ajay and I made a video together talking about the animation in the Battle of Gods arc. It's a long one, but might be interesting! We basically went episode by episode and talked a bit about who worked on what, standout moments, things like that.
