I think I also technically saw a Blue Water episode or two of Dragon Ball before I saw the BLT/Ocean version, but I barely remember it, so my exposure to the BLT/Ocean dub was my true introduction to DB.

Can someone clear some confusion up for me? Toei apparently have all the audio masters for GT, unlike with DB and Z. Is it the Dragon Boxes that don't use it, but all the other releases do? Or does Funi's also not have it?

Don't Toei still have all the audio masters for GT starting from episode 5, though? I remember the problem being that they simply didn't include that master on some of the official releases or something.

My first thought is Afterimage/Zanzōken, although perhaps this isn't as useful now as it was back in OG Dragon Ball. Well, if you get the Japanese Dragon Box and the Blue Bricks, you can use Dragon Radar to combine the subtitles from the Blue Bricks with the Japanese Dragon Box video. The previews wouldn't have subs(At least... Not all of the episodes IIRC), but you'd have the previews there to see.

Yeah, but it took a while. If Ocean wanted to dub Super, and it took anywhere near as long to get it off the ground, they'd have to dub quite fast to catch up with Funi.

I think an Ocean dub of Super would be very interesting. Although, given how long it's taken Funimation to even start recording their dub, I doubt Ocean would be able to get their own dub of it out any time soon.

I still think that, while the TV airings will almost certainly be 16:9, the Blu-Rays will be 4:3, like the rest of Kai.

Although, I think by "Visual quality", ekrolo2 meant the colour correction, replaced frames, and the general remastering process, which I hear has received some criticism.

I think Ultimate Uncut might also have English CCs, although I'm not sure.

Kai is more palatable to a modern audience due to the faster pace, better audio quality in the Japanese version, better English dub, better home release(The out of print Part sets aside, there's one DVD release, and one Blu-Ray release), and being a better introduction to the series than Z was(Rathe...
