Not a particularly worthwhile post to make here or anywhere across the forum in and of itself.Supersaiyanbulla wrote:I hate goku.

DLC Characters Kanzenshuu Mini Poll
1st- Muten Roshi - 99 points
2nd- Janemba - 77 points
3rd- Broly - 73 points
4th- Dabra - 68 points
5th- Vegetto - 64 points
6th- Kid Goku - 44 points
7th- Cooler - 23 points

13th- Videl - 15 points
13th- Chi-Chi - 15 points
13th- Omega Shenron - 15 points
16th- Kefla - 14 points
and 22 more characters.
- The top 5 characters were the only ones in more than half of people's choices.
- Chi-Chi, Videl, Cooler, Kefla and Merged Zamasu were picked by less than 5 people.
Only Chi-Chi and Videl surprised me. Although due to the small sample size it's expected to be weird things.
How likely are those characters? We need to take into account what was said by the developers: popular characters are sure to be in, characters who play similar might be excluded, they want to fill the various fighting archetypes and exclusion by incompatibility with the game mechanics.
Master Roshi- The only barrier to his inclusion is no flying. While this game doesn't really have flight per se it's has the rush mechanic. They also might not be able to balance the Mafuba.
Broly- 99,9% in. It checks every box.
Dabra- He wasn't included in the main game, that tell us something. He certainly agrees a lot with Arc System approach, might not be popular enough.
Janemba- This one depends on the another factor, how many of the DLC characters will serve as advertisement? If many, then he might be shoved aside for Super characters/new movie characters.
Vegetto- Just like Broly but even better because it includes Z and Super into one.
Kid Goku- This one is difficult. My gut tells me he won't be included due to the focus on later Dragon Ball(Z/Super). It would also be yet another Goku, even if this one would be extremely different.
GT Characters- I have a feeling they won't be included because of Super.
What does everyone think? Feel free to ask about the score of characters below top 16.

Re: "Dragon Ball FighterZ" (PS4/XBO/PC, 2018, Arc System Works) Official Discussion Thread
The reason I have not listed who I would like is because Arcs will put forth who they'll put forth.
That being said, here is who I am expecting:
1) Broly
2) Base Goku (use of Kaioken and Spirit Bomb)
3) Base Vegeta (use of Galick Gun, Dirty Fireworks, and moves Vegeta uses but his other two forms do not have)
4) Vegetto
Yes, I know. Those last two irks me as they could have been on the main roster to begin with. I am expecting no other Super character than what was presented already.
Characters I would like to see:
1) Raditz (he was in Extreme Butoden. He uses his scouter as a mechanic that can temporarily buff his stats or debuff them depending on how much meter or health the opponent has. Depending on Raditz's health while in this mode, any super move such as the Kamehameha launched at will be caught and no damage will be dealt or he will dodge but gain slight damage from any finishing move launched against. But if Raditz's health is too low, he cannot dodge the move and will take damage. Also, over-reliance on the scouter will cause it to break).
2) Bardock (he was in Extreme Butoden. If Broly makes it in, having Bardock on the roster will not be too far behind. He is a popular character that is being marketed heavily right now and it would make sense to put him in the game. For those complaining about lack moveset, please look at Extreme Butoden. Arcs developed a moveset for him there, I see no reason why they could not do the same here).
3) Janemba (I agree with everyone that he would have a VERY unique moveset to dabble with in this game).
4) Metal Cooler (Arguably Cooler's form with the best variety of moves that can be implemented. The fact he can do Instant Transmission and employ all the moves Cooler normally be capable of and more should be taken into consideration).

They also had Adult Gohan in, and he also suffers from having a way too generic moveset just like he has is in FighterZ.ShadowBardock89 wrote: 2) Bardock (he was in Extreme Butoden. Here's some Bardock gameplay for others to see what I'm talking about:

And here's some Ultimate Gohan:

But to be honest, as popular as Bardock is, I won't be suprised if he makes it into the game... I just hope that for the other additional characters ArcSys will choose someone more unique.

I love that his rekka can climb up for air play including his sidestep. All that is missing is an air counter strike ala his fusion baseball projectile
Hit and Gotenks are my other two mains but I want to rotate the three with Tenshinhan and we`re still missing his character breakdowns. Adult Gohan`s level 7...does pick some interest because you gain if for the rest of the match but the issue is the opponent allowing the breathing room.

That breakdowns look poor af.
Speaking of similarity. Yeah, it is quite downside of the game. For instance, Goku and Vegeta are done wrong, IMHO, because they are 2 versions each. But, on other hand, Goku SS is bare bones fighter, Ryu of the game. In my idea, these characters could be stance characters. It could make them unique.
Whatever. I'm sounding like a broken record.
Anyway, really, Maximilian, for instance, also mentions, that characters in this game plays kinda similar.

Some characters playing similar at base level is expected, it wasn`t something I even cared to rave about because there`s not one Figther without that aspect. The one I can think of is Virtua Figther and it mostly comes from being the most hardcore gameplay figther there is with a small roster. Any new version of the game only adds like two new figthers to the cast and that is when it comes out.
Regarding FigtherZ he also mentions the more you play the more their own they`ll look because when you push it, their strenght and weakness aren`t the same and neither are their combo chains and properties but it`s undebiable that the characters who have been hyped the most recently are the ones who play differently than the rest from the get go.
The breakdowns being too short is another thing I am not surprised at. There is an embargo at the level of information disclosure about the characters and time limits to showcase footage. Both Max and Rymestyle have mention this since the Stream and you catch the same urgency in those breakdowns.

We know what the anime music pack contains but do we know what the commentator voice pack does?
It would logically be the guy from the tournaments commenting the matches, but do we have info as to what exactly he comments or what mode it applies to?

I wish this game has some Kikuchi remixed tracks like Ultimate Tenkaichi had, but I know is very unlikely.

Does anyone have any shots of Goku Black's color variations they would be willing to share? So long as it's not against the rules that is. (pm works too if you're feeling generous)

Are they doing a PC beta, to test servers? Or is that not really necessary compared to consoles?
I'm re-watching Dragon Ball GT in full on my blog. Check it out if you're interested in my thoughts on the series as I watch through it!

He actually has multiple ways of flying.Master Roshi- The only barrier to his inclusion is no flying. While this game doesn't really have flight per se it's has the rush mechanic. They also might not be able to balance the Mafuba.
1.) Spinning turtle:
[spoiler]

Although, it would look a bit weird, if it would just appear everytime the player presses the chase button.
2.) Kamehameha: The way he used it in the 21st tournament, he could just shoot himself up to the air with a Kamehameha. It's not just a way to solve flying, but also nice reference to classic DB.
The Mafuuba is also quiet easy to ballance actually. The simplest one is that the opponent would loose health from the move, but would break free from the container after a little while if he still has health left. If the move still needs taming, Roshi could loose health from it, like he does in the actual canon. Also, maybe the trapped player's team mates could maybe break the container too.
The good thing about Roshi is that he kind of has an overall theme going on for some of his moves. Mafuuba, Hypnosis, and Thunder Shock Surprise are all techniques for disabling/paralyzing the opponent, and they all work differently. Considering this I think he has a fair chance for being in the game.

Apparently are stages can have different times of the day. AfroSenju's latest video has a fight that takes part in an afternoon/sunset version of the Desert/Plains stage.
Hadn't noticed that yet.

I already said before that some alt. color for characters in this game are awful, but Black Kid Boo is kinda cool
