Shonen Jump Super Stars Being Sold At Best Buy!

So, Iam in Best Buy and my buddy tells me he had Reeses for breakfast and... oh wait...

So Iam in Best Buy today, looking though the games and I see "Jump Super Stars" and of course (like anyone else here) I was like what the Hell? I grab it and its the actual Japanese version. What the frig is going on? Best Buy selling "Jump Super Stars"? What? It's going for $49.99 about the same price as a VHS in the Zstore. Then I get over it and start looking at the games again and what do I see? "Naruto: Saikyo Ninja Daikesshu 4" Is Best Buy now importing games? Is this even legal!?

I even took a picture with my camera phone. There is a sticker on the game that says its in Japanese with Japanese text....

Yea. I was kinda shocked when I saw. Wonder if they will get the second one on release....
What does it say on the package, on the white sticker? Did ya look?

Woah, that's messed up. If Best Buy starts to import games, that would be pretty cool. I doubt that the Best Buy near my house would, however. It doesn't even sell DBZ dvds.

I may have to get that DS Lite sooner than I thought.

Same here, if I see it at the store, I'll buy it even though I don't have enough money to buy a DS at the moment.

I've known about this for a while, when I went to best buy during the summer. I saw Jump Superstars and thought it was cool that they're importing DS games. I couldn't afford it at the moment though.

Wow..and to think I was at Best Buy the other day picking up Movie 13..and I didn't catch this.

Maybe I'll grab Jump Ultimate Stars when it comes out...it seems that the sequel is an improved version of this one...

Unless someone recommends me to get this. I gotta put my DS to use.

Haven't any of you visited a Fry's lately? They've been selling import handheld games for quite some time, too. They even have an import "section" on the PSP rack. That's where I picked up my copy of JSS. I certainly find it handy, even though they jack the prices up sometimes (Bleach: Heat the Soul from the "PSP The Best" series still goes for $50, even though games in "The Best" should be budget-priced).

I guess more chains are jumping on the import games bandwagon.

Fry's is an electronic store similar to...let's say BestBuy. My family in California really liked the place. From what I know, Fry's are nowhere to be seen in any of the East coast states. And me buying import games over there while on vacation...AWSOME. (Snatches Jump Super Stars)

Ah, yeah, sorry.. I forgot Fry's only has stores in California (though I think they're starting to expand to other states). Still a good, hassle-free way to pick up an import DS or PSP game, if you don't mind a couple extra bucks (which you probably would have spent on shipping, anyway)..

If there is any New Jersey board members here let me know because I know a place that has them in stock for regular ds title prices and if I recall, a used copy for less. I'm waiting on jump ultimate stars: its gonna be how do you say, "sexy". I can't wait until it comes out, I'll be maining the god tier character Piccolo and pwning all of the Naruto ones..

Uh, I'm not sure where Hamilton is. Are you familiar with Rt. 34,35, or 36. The place is in Hazlet and I called them yesterday and they said they will have Jump Ultimate Stars instock when it comes out so hooray for me

Hamilton used to be a part of Trenton, but we got so big we broke off 'n got our own zip code and everything. XD

Don't feel bad, I checked my local Best Buy the other day and they didn't have it either. In fact this Best Buy's game selection really sucks since they only had about 15 DS titles total and about half of them were $19.99 budget priced.
