Takaki has worked on some Dragon Ball video game/cinematic music and all of it in my opinion was superb but it seems he wasn't given the chance to work on main music for the Dragon Ball series and movies. Why is that?
Why on earth did TOEI pick Sumitomo over Takaki?
Why did TOEI hire Sumitomo and not Takaki for DB's music?

Either:
1. Takaki was unavailable.
2. Sumitomo was cheaper.
3. Sumitomo fit the musical tastes of the producer.
4. Takaki was hired by somebody at Bandai and thus was unknown to staff at Toei Animation.

I've always assumed Sumitomo was cheaper and that might be the case. Sumitomo's music feels somewhat low quality, cheap-sounding, trashy and nowhere near as good as Takaki, Yamamoto and Kikuchi's music.JulieYBM wrote:Either:
