Haha, I had a feeling all this new news pre-empted any kind of Bardock discussion. This is making me think I really need to finish reading Jaco!

I've watched a lot of the end of GT in Japanese. That sounds like Yi Xing Long talking about Fusion. Either 60 or 61. Maybe wrong, but that sounded like Yi Xing Long's awesome voice.

Oh, neat. Mike has to change the opening music to something not GT related. 291+64=355. Listening now, but I felt like pointing that out. :P

They should use the DB next episode preview theme

Ah, yes. I've been anticipating this, too. Don't know how he would stand on using pre-scandal Kai OST.

Well, the prologue & sub-title music (being a theme song arrangement) wasn't composed by You-Know-Who, so I think it's still usable.

Are you guys serious about not being able to say "super bowl?"

I don't know if they're serious that *they* can't say Super Bowl, but it is a trademarked term of the NFL, and you do have to have permission to use it in any professional context. So, yes, businesses, for example, can't advertise anything based around the term Super Bowl for sales or events, what have you. Just pay attention to ads around that time of year, and you'll hear a plethora of "big game" advertisements but try to spot how often you actually hear the term "Super Bowl" outside of actually promoting the game itself.

Or, to quote the wikipedias: "The NFL restricts the use of its 'Super Bowl' trademark; it is frequently called the Big Game or other generic terms by non-sponsoring corporations."

"The NFL is vigilant on stopping what it says is unauthorized commercial use of its trademarked terms 'NFL,' 'Super Bowl,' and 'Super Sunday.' As a result, many events and promotions tied to the game, but not sanctioned by the NFL, are asked to refer to it with colloquialisms such as 'The Big Game,' or other generic descriptions. A radio spot for Planters nuts parodied this, by saying 'it would be super...to have a bowl...of Planters nuts while watching the big game!' and comedian Stephen Colbert began referring to the game in 2014 as the 'Superb Owl.' The NFL claims that the use of the phrase 'Super Bowl' implies an NFL affiliation, and on this basis the league asserts broad rights to restrict how the game may be shown publicly; for example, the league says Super Bowl showings are prohibited in churches or at other events that 'promote a message,' while venues that do not regularly show sporting events cannot show the Super Bowl on any television screen larger than 55 inches."

and

"In 2006, the NFL made an attempt to trademark 'The Big Game' as well; however, it withdrew the application in 2007 due to growing commercial and public-relations opposition to the move."

So... yeah. The NFL is insane...

You said that Shonen manga usually don't return if the get canceled, and that for the carddass series being canceled as well, things don't look good for Toriko.

But the Fairy Tail anime was also canceled, and it's going to return with a new one. What was Fairy Tail's status when it got canceled? Was it similar to Toriko's?

If I'm not mistaken, they were talking about anime series based on Shonen Jump manga. But it's not like it didn't happen before. Gintama got two hiatuses before getting back to television. But the episodic nature of the series probably helped.

I see. Well, Toriko (anime) is currently on the last arc before a time-skip, so maybe this helps as well.
