That's not how it works, we get a new ED every single cour, January is just the start of a new cour.
Every January, April, June and October we get a new ED.

Not really since it was never claimed that Goku's hair was going to change color. Herms was surprised that Goku's hair was still called black since the highlights makes his hair look mixed.

Don't know where this 'Friez a fuses with Robots' stuff is comming from, in regards to spoilers the only Frieza related thing is a brief sentence saying that Frieza gets annoyed and unleashes his full power on the U3 Robot Fusion.
