Where are the other Gods of Destruction and Kaioshin?

DBS has taught us that for every Kaioshin, there's a God of Destruction, whose lives are connected. But we also know that there were more Kaioshin of Universe 7 in the past, who were killed by Majin Buu. That explains why we only have Beerus and Kaioshin in Universe 7. But why do the other Universes also seem to have only one Kaioshin and one God of Destruction?

There's only one God of Destruction per universe, some possibilities about the Kaioshin could be:
A. They totally retconned the fact there were multiple Kaioshin in Universe 7
B. the Grand Kaioshin or Kaioshin with the highest authority is the one linked to the GoD
C. All the Kaioshin with an official position of each universe are linked with the GoD and every universe has varying amount of Kaioshin
D. Universe 7 is the only universe with multiple Kaioshin and all of them and/or the last remaining one is the link
