I just can't accept when male characters get stronger without giving us a 3-episode flashback explaining in great detail the feats they had to get to to obtain that strength. If they were female, that's just an accepted part of the story. But males are a unique gender and thus must be put to higher standards. Your power better make sense or you're a Gary Stu, fella.
I could have gotten into anything...and yet I chose the story aimed at young Japanese boys about martial arts, and later about super-powerful aliens punching each other really hard.

I'm not saying there's a 1 to 1 correlation between men who think the wage gap is a myth and Vegeta fans, but...
