Re: DragonBall GT Revised [fanfic]
Quick question about your updated versions of the story Kaboom - how essential to understanding the further story do you consider them to be? What I mean is, I've got the Adobe Acrobat files you had up for download of everything thus far, and looking at it now, I've noticed that my copy of Cataclysm is listed as 'v1.1'; Volume One is '1.2'; and Chapter 11 is '1.1'. Would getting the newer copies of the chapters be essential to reading the new stuff as it comes out, or is it pretty inconsequential unless I just want the most improved version?

Re: DragonBall GT Revised [fanfic]
It's usually just minor fixes. I'll end up with a list of typos, repetitive word uses, run-on sentences, etc, that I decide to go back and change for form and clarity. The first couple chapters' rewrites are going to be extensive, but otherwise such little tweaks are all that'll really happen. I'd make sure to point out anything major. So yeah, there wouldn't be much need to be 100% up-to-date for future chapters.

All right, cool. I may update to the fixes when they're done, but it's nice to know it's not really essential either, thanks for the heads up.

Re: DragonBall GT Revised [fanfic]
Alrighty. So after just short of four months... four agonizing, embarrassing, seemingly-endless months... GT Revised Chapter 17 is finally COMPLETE. I'm not going to make excuses for why it took so long, though I suppose my personal muse being off and out of contact the whole time probably didn't help my motivation or lack thereof.
But we're not out of the woods yet. This monstrous sucker has broken all the records and ended up being a full THIRTY-EIGHT PAGES long. Which translates to "waaaaay too damn long." So obviously I've got to do some major trimming and chopping, along with my usual proofreading, before I can publish and post it. But reducing and rewriting portions is a cakewalk compared to actually writing the stuff in the first place. So we're looking at a definite publishing sometime this coming weekend.
The usual bonus goodies will be posted a few days after that. This is intentional, because I've got another fun little "reader participation" activity in the works. It'll be posted along with the chapter, and then the results will posted along with the other goodies. If you follow me on Twitter and remember me mentioning what this will be, then stay hush about it and pretend you don't know. This is also the part of the reason why the extra character bios I mentioned before haven't been posted yet. Again, intentional. Not lazy. Not entirely, anyway.
That said, speaking of reader participation... this is the totally-for-reals last chance to vote for this bloated old ex-prom queen of a chapter's title. So get on that, if you haven't done so already. Tell your friends to vote, too!

I really don't mind if the chapter turns out to be way longer than usual, so please post it if, after doing your trimming, it still seems too long.
I can't wait to read this chapter, since everything points out that it'll be a fun one

Anyhoo, I've already got this sucker down to 35 pages, and there's still some length to go through, so we might end up at 34. Either way, it should be posted tonight or tomorrow morning at the latest.

As it happens, some good friends of mine are in the same place for the same reason.

Re: DragonBall GT Revised [fanfic]
Hang on to your butts and strap yourselves in, because after an agonizing 5 months, the latest chapter of GT Revised is finally here!
It was a close call, but... okay, no it wasn't. "No Coup For You" won by a pretty wide margin. I was kind of rooting for "All's Fair" myself, but oh well.
In this chapter, the long-in-coming and long-in-manifesting Koum arc finally comes to a close. A kingdom and planet is put at risk, treachery is exposed, bonds are both strengthened and broken, more fish is eaten, and that hidden spoiler from the artwork back in February is made even more obvious! Half this chapter is action, and the damn thing is a record-breaking 34½ pages long (AFTER I spent a week trimming the fat from it). Have fun.
So as I've mentioned before, the bonus goodies are intentionally waiting a week. Not only because there's a lot to craft and compile (character bios, Koum's "Planet Profile," extra artwork, etc), but because I'm turning once again to you, yes YOU, to participate in creating some juicy GT Revised goodness.
If I'm going to indulge in this aspect of the story, then I'm dragging you all down with me. That's right, you're going to make some power levels for me.
Observe:
Whoever's levels I like most, in terms of both logic and creativity, will become the "official" ones for the Koum arc. They'll be posted in a week along with all the other bonus goodies. Unless nobody cares and bothers, in which case I'll just go with the ones I've already got in reserve. But in order to encourage this reader participation, especially to those of you who may never have dabbled in power level numbers before, here's some extra incentive:
Another prize of "pick a character and I'll draw it" goes to the winner, and also like last time, there's the chance for multiple "winners" too if I end up pulling from different people's lists. But if nobody tries, nobody wins.
So if you wish, dive in and have fun. Because that's what I, and everyone else should, value in any of this.

Uh, I think you made a typo:
Anyway, quick BP list before bed:
Quint: 11,000 (though he says there's not much of a gap between him and Regano, Pan implies otherwise. And also he gets the shit kicked out of him by Reggy).
Girth: 8,200
Slim: 7,400
Stout: 5,600 (these three are all said to be weaker that Quint, and I just ranked them based on how I saw them).
Bulk: 110,000 (with all the hype about his power, I think he might have broken the 100k mark).
Zatar: 330,000 (I think he'd have to be stronger than Bulk if he planned on betraying his "allies". Also, I like making his powered up form be a nice, even 10x boost)
Super Zatar: 3,300,000 (strong enough to overwhelm Pan, but overwhelmed by KK2 Pan. I have him closer to regular Pan as the Kaio-ken can only be used in bursts and so I think Pan needs a higher gap to overwhelm him in the same way).
Old man who was going to protect the woman until Pan butted in: 70,000,000 (He totes would have owned them, you know).
Shouldn't that be Zatar? All the while, Orris had taken his time disabling every system that could potentially warn the surface of danger, making sure to even destroy the main communications console with a ki blast before he and his companion departed.

Whoa, that was quick. Looks good, though that's much higher than I meant to imply Zatar would be without his power-up. He's hella strong (and you're right, he probably should be stronger than even Bulk), but Freeza's insane-by-most-standards realm of power is still kind of a far-off pipe dream for him, you know?Anyway, quick BP list before bed: <snip>
On a smaller note, I've also implemented some minor and needed changes to Chapter 15 and 16 (mostly just other typos and little logic burps some of you have pointed out), and the links for their PDFs have been updated as well.

Re: DragonBall GT Revised [fanfic]
Okay, here we are...
Zatar- I'll give him a good 75,000. He seemed confident enough in his ability to dispatch the Quintclones, but I'll chalk part of it up to his steroids.
Super Zatar- He was able to knock Pan around pretty easily, and she's at 2.5 million, so... I'll put him at 2.8 million (or 2,800,000). Sounds like enough to have a good upper hand on Pan, low enough for Freeza's level to be a "pipe dream" like you said, as well as low enough to be horribly outclassed by Pan using the Kaio-ken.
I'd also put Bulk a little lower, at, say, 90,000. Just to be contrary.
Oh, and Orris should be, like... 3,000.

Yeah, Zatar was a bit high. I originally was going to put 170,000 but bumped him up just to make it a nice 10x boost for his pendant thing.
